If it means anything, I have the Bowers and Wilkins PX8 S2, and the Bose quietcomfort ultra 2, and the latter are better in both the sound and ANC department. The Bowers have better build quality. If I were to be taking a flight, the Bose would be coming with me

They feel INSANELY cheap. Way more than anything else I've had but the XM6. The plastic isn't good and most of them creak to some extent (even if it isn't noticeable when you wear them, and I've tried 4 pairs). This is definitely part of the give and take aspect of ANC headphones. If you want better

I own a couple of B&W headphones — P7 Wireless (2016), P9 Signature (2016), Px8 OG (2023), Px7 S3 and latest Px8 S2. My P7 Wireless and its original battery are over 9 years old, in mint condition and still sound amazing besides its dated tech. Same with newer Px8 OG, it’s approaching 3 years and ha

I made the same decision after testing both, side by side. The materials and build quality of the PX8 S2 are exceptional. I've owned most of B&W's over ear lineup, and these recent releases are by far their best to date. However, the decision came down to performance. The PX8 S2 is inarguably more c

Let i start with saying I'm not an audiophile or expert at all, I just tested 4 headphones because I needed a new one. I compared the bose qc ultra 2nd gen, Sony xm6, b&w px8 and b&w px7 s3 i had the bose and sony at home for some days and then went to a store to compare the b&w So for noise cancell

Bose QC Ultra Gen 2 would be my pick. Best bass response, great little app to tune sound to your liking. Surprisingly very resolving even with gobs of bass or treble. Always smooth yet detailed. Floats on the head. Very comfortable. Sony XM6 sounded extremely muddy and boomy to me. I did not like th

I don't know if you already made your decision, but I own the PX8 and they are great. The sound is excellent and warm. It made me want to listen to old songs all over again. And the DAC mode is amazing when connected with USB C device (MacBook Pro, Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 & iPhone 15 wired wired have

Yeah, the new headband construction introduced with H95/HX/Portal is a huge fail unfortunately, compared to the older one used from H6 down to H9 3rd Gen which would last a century. Seems like B&W headphones (Px7 S2/S3 and Px8/S2) are affected by that same issue even more though. Thankfully H100 are

How I hear the Px8 S2 compared to Px7 S3, Px8 S2 has a more colored and warmer sound signature tuning with its elevated mid bass, while maintaining clarity and details, and wider soundstage than OG Px8. Depending on the genre of music you listen to, the elevated lower mids can muddy instrument separ

I'm planning to replace my old sony xm4 with a new one as well. Didn't quite like the xm5 or xm6 for build quality and comfort, so I've shortlisted bose qc ultra 2, b&w px8 s2 (wasn't leaning towards the px7 s3 as it uses vegan leather which isn't as long lasting as the real one) and the Sennheiser
