Idk why people keep complaining boox is complicated and it takes time to get used to it

I just got the same device and I love it! With that said, I understand why people warn about complications: If you're new to e-readers AND android, then this device is not just a unbox and immediately start reading. You have to learn the navigation, android OS, how to get books, how to side load (BO

To those of you who have 2 e-readers, why do you keep both and what do you use each one for?

I bought my very first Kindle, a basic 2019 during the pandemic. If has been with me through everything, work, medical school, hospital duties. It’s my solace during those moments that I needed to dissociate. Then in 2024, someone tried to sell me a brand new Boox Page (sealed) for 50% off because t

Because why not?

Kindle unfortunately doesn’t support Bluetooth page turners. I have the same remote and can use it with my Boox Go Color 7 and Kobo Libra Colour, but I have to use the clip on page turner for my Kindle. It sucks that Amazon hasn’t added that ability yet.

Which e-reader is best for AO3?

Are you OK with just downloading and transferring files to it, or do you want to read online as well? Do you care about having a large well-organised library? I have a Boox Go 7, which runs Android (still eink though) and allows downloading apps. Browsing AO3 on a browser works very well (and page t

Getting my GF a Kindle for Christmas

Colour is the only difference between the Clara Color and Clara BW. Libra only has a colour version and has a pencil for notes, dropbox/cloud stuff, buttons to turn pages. A lot of people in the kobo sub frigging hate the colour versions. It's basically an extra layer over the black and white screen

Switching from reMarkable → BOOX Note Air5 C — looking for tips & advice

Are you using ChatGPT to write Reddit posts? I hope I don't answer a bot… I have a Note Air4 C which is probably more or less the same as the Air5 C. I shortly tested the original Remarkable and the new one with color. The Air4 C and the first Remarkable feel pretty much the same. Quite paper-like e

E-reader for a medical student who wants to read medical textbooks and occasional other books

I would advise something you can install an app like google play books on (an android like boox) as if you have this app it synchronises across all your devices so you can read a page or two on phone/laptop/tablet whenever you have a few minutes spare. And also a 10" or up if you can as medical text

Will Note Max get another update?

Works great? Wow. Here are just a few of the bugs I run into constantly: Worst ghosting I have ever had on an e-ink device (and I have a few). Every page of a document or notebook requires as full refresh (swipe) unless you are ok with all the remnants of the previous screen. This was made even wors

My Palma pro came

I have both a P2 and P2P. For reading B&W books I think the P2 is superior but I usually use the P2P for one simple reason. The volume buttons on the P2P have been moved to the left side of the device. I prefer to hold the device in my left hand and my left thumb rests perfectly on the volume down b

Anyone who owns Palma and also a Kindle (not the Scribe), how do they compare and which one makes you read more?

I actually use them pretty equally, but in different contexts. For reading in bed or at home, I use my Kindle Paperwhite because I like the layout and larger screen. Whenever I’m heading out for the day, I slip my Boox Palma 2 in my bag and read on the subway, over lunch, etc. When I’m reading Kindl
