Cheap, large, android ereader recs pls 🥹

I think the issue is that the 10+ inch Android devices - since the screen itself makes them quite expensive already - is that they’re largely intended to be multi-functional tablet devices and e-notebooks. So they’ll have all the bells and whistles, as they’re going to be expensive either way. I’m g

Budget irrelevant, larger sized screen with lights + best display in 2026?

Boox Go 10.3 Lumi? It’s an Android tablet but one more suitable for reading and note-taking than anything else people usually use tablets for. Otherwise, if you don’t need to use any apps (for library, subscription service etc), then anything large enough and with a BW screen. Kobo Sage sounds good,

Teacher looking for advice on choosing a digital notebook (Kindle Scribe vs reMarkable Pro vs Onyx Boox Go 10.3 II)

A BOOX tablet, although Android just like your current tablet, won't do the same things your current Android tablet does. E-ink display technology is simply too slow. Android e-ink tablets are great as e-readers, but quite awful as generic Android tablets. However, sharing the Android DNA means you

What is the best ereader for me?

The writing requirements point to Android being an easier choice than anything else, I’d say - look at the new Boox Go 10.3 Gen II Lumi? Or the Boox Note Air 5C if you want colour. I don’t think there’s a keyboard cover for the Go 10.3 but I gather it can be used with external keyboards (Bluetooth o

Looking for e-reader with PDF readability

Boox Go 10.3 Gen II Lumi? A bit above your budget though. I assume you’d want to use the frontlight occasionally, otherwise something like the original Boox Go 10.3. With the Libby support requirement, something that supports Android seems like a necessity anyway, ruling out ReMarkable. Several of t

Thoughts on remarkable?

Lots of better alternatives. Viwoods Aipaper, Viwoods Mini, Boox Note Air 5C, Boox Go 10.3 Lumi, and others from Bigme and Supernote. They all run Android, are more powerful, have better screens, allow you to use apps, and are generally better priced.

I recently got the Boox Go 10.3 Lumi because of Android 15 and absolutely love it. You can basically download any app from the playstore. It also has a speaker for audiobooks, and I can download the Kindle app as well. Also note that color eink readers are duller and grainier than black and white on

Middle school teacher choosing between AiPaper Mini and the new Boox Note Lumi — durability, note‑taking, and Amazon bundle questions

You need to take the Ai Paper into consideration (not the Mini), as that one is the same (similar 10.65") size as the Boox Go 10.3. Lumi. I have Viwoods AI Paper. The software is still not there, but I find it great. I also have the Note Max, but I reach for Viwoods more often. Maybe because of the

Teacher looking for advice on choosing a digital notebook (Kindle Scribe vs reMarkable Pro vs Onyx Boox Go 10.3 II)

I suggested an E Ink Android device (Boox Go 10.3 Lumi). With this device, you can perform everything you need and read your Kindle books using the Kindle app. With a so-called “dedicated” device, you won't get very far because you'll always be missing something you needs; for example, you won't be

I'm looking for an e-ink partner in crime, please help!

I don’t know if they can do all the things you want (you might ask in r/Onyx_Boox as there are some people who have received theirs) but maybe the new Boox Go 10.3 Gen II Lumi? Or another of the Boox 10’’ devices - the Note Air 5C if you don’t mind colour. There are other e-notebooks around (Superno
