Air purifier for hospice patient
This! I just got my luggable to replace my blue air 211+ and it is quieter running than the Blueair is on the lowest setting. 300sq ft of coverage gives 5 air changes in an hour, I believe. Plus, it's going to cost me $4/month for filters if I change them out every 6 months.

Best Value Air Purifier? (Coway, Winix, Blueair, Shark, Sans, etc)
That's not the point. The original context is my comment: Some people want to avoid this because of possible health effects associated with ionizers or changes in gaseous air chemistry. ...and then you said (in the form of a question) "California’s strict regulations" basically ensure that the "heal

Best purifier for my need?
+1 to CR boxes, I ended up building https://www.texairfilters.com/an-easy-to-build-corsi-rosenthal-box-using-modular-pc-fan-systems/ and prefer it over my Blueair Blue Pure 211+ I bought in 2020. r/crboxes exists too.

Does turning off the plasma setting reduce CADR? Winix C545
Ive read that the difference is negligible but I’ve not seen independent testing to confirm. There has been testing on Blueair 211 that shows the ionizer contributes to between ~20-50% of the measured CADR (the range is because it depends on particle size) which makes me sceptical that it’s negligib

STICKY: Ionizers and Ozone - fact/fiction/history
There is more to Blueair 211 filter that is a fail in my experience. There are 2 layers to the white fabric material. The pleated material is rigid and has a second layer of material adhered to it. This is very fine and looks HEPA grade as I cannot see pinholes. Blueair is named in a Hepa filter law

Loud Air Purifier Recommendations
I have two Blueair purifiers that can get very loud on the highest setting--the 211+ Auto and the Classic 500/600. The latter one was discontinued and the 211+ can still be bought at Amazon, but not at Blueair. Finding OEM filters is no problem for either. You might also consider a sound machine tha

Best Canadian Air Purifier?
Blueair comes with ionizers, though, which is bad for your health and can cause respiratory issues. HouseFresh wanted to see what would happen if you removed the ionizer from the 211+, and almost half of its performance was gone. Which shows its filters aren't actually that good and mostly relies on

Is Discontinuing items a trend for this company?
I totally agree, spent a lot more money on the 211+ Auto model with the idea of having it for a long time....now they quit selling the filters??? they wont get my business again. Blueair has great air purifiers but they are not priced in a way that they should be considered a one time use machine. t
