Setup a camera in your apartment. They're relatively inexpensive. Gives you peace of mind while you're at work. Edit for spelling...B) Second edit for OP. Check out the Blink cameras. They can store footage locally which is why we use them. Fairly inexpensive as well. You'll be able to see what's go

Has anyone switched from ring?
I'm in IT and I setup a Ring system at work. 5 outdoor cameras with solar panels and 3 indoor wired. Honestly they have been nothing but trouble. They do not stay charged in winter months. The solar panels get snow and ice on them. I have swapped out the batteries with charged ones numerous times to

So on a free Google Drive (15 GB), you could store roughly (15 × 1000 × 7.5) / 60 / 60 = 31.25 hours of clips. The BlinkPi has a setting to automatically “pru

Home security cameras without monthly payment
I have used Blink both with and without subscription. I can always put a thumb drive in the hub for video storage and no subscription is required. But Blink deliberately make it record partially or selectively. So I switch to yearly subscription for the all out cloud storage and ready access with wi

New to Blink - questions
Older modules don’t allow you to store locally so a subscription is needed for new users (we old users get cloud storage included). Newer modules allow you to attach a USB and store locally. More than one module allows for the creation of “zones” or areas. Separate modules for indoor, outdoor, garag
