First time PC build from a laptop user - white/cute theme, UK, £1700 max

The Legend 860 uses QLC flash, which has low durability and becomes noticeably slower after a few years. A better drive with TLC flash would be, e.g., the Timetec 35TTFP6PCIE, Integral M2, MSI Spatium M560, or Biwin Black Opal NV7400.

The UD90 is just as bad as the NV3. Some good drives with TLC flash would be, e.g., the Patriot P400 Lite/VP4300 Lite, Timetec 35TTFP6PCIE, Biwin Black Opal NV7400, or WD Blue SN5000.

Building first PC

The case comes with only 1 fan. So you definitely want some more case fans. The nvme is qlc which is less reliable and durable than tlc. So get a tlc for less. For a little less you can get an A-tier cybernetics lab tested psu instead of B tier. A- tier psu PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU

The 9800X3D can be easily cooled with a single-tower cooler. To get silence, use a dual-tower cooler like the Thermalright Phantom Spirit. The NV3 often uses QLC flash, which has low durability and becomes noticeably slower after a few years. Get a better drive with TLC flash like the Seagate FireCu

TLC flash is better. Good 4 TB drives tend to be expensive; consider the TeamGroup G50/G70/MP44, Patriot P400 Lite, Klevv CRAS C910, WD_Black SN7100, Lexar NM790, Crucial T500/T705/T710, or Biwin Black Opal NV7400.

Is this build any good for $850?

The QN450 uses QLC flash, which has low durability and becomes noticeably slower after a few years. Get a better drive with TLC flash like the Patriot P400 Lite, Patriot Viper VP4300 Lite, or Biwin Black Opal NV7400, or, if you're buying at Micro Center, TN320/Spatium M450/990 EVO Plus.
