Beyerdynamic no questions. Asus CS and Hifiman QC you don’t want to deal with. Beyer will always have parts. Z reviews said the 330 Pro is one of the best headphones period even though it’s marketed as a gaming headset.

If the headphones are in need of replacement, BeyerDynamic or Sennheiser have great quality headphones. They are german brands, and a bit on the higher end (like the Beyerdynamic DT 900 pro x, which is a great headset, is ~200 usd). They are built as studio-grade headphones. My last beyerdynamic las

Beyerdynamic makes some really nice headphones. I have the DT 770 Pros (80 ohm), but I’ve always wondered if I should have gone with the 990 Pros, or maybe the 250 ohm ones because I hear so much high frequency hiss if I’m playing higher gain tones through headphones. I noticed this a lot when I use

Main thing: swap to the Premium Edition DT 770/990 headband like you did or are considering; it’s basically the “fix and forget” solution for this problem. The stock DT 900 Pro X headband foam is just not built for being shoved in bags, even in a case. I’ve had similar peeling/cracking on DT 770s wh

Regrettably the DT 900 and DT 700 Pro X models seem to have no end of materials problems. I got spontaneous cracking on my earcup on the DT 900 Pro X, narrowly within warranty, but now they're both out and I'm just dreading when they start falling apart. It's stopped me dead from investing any more

I feel the Pro X line has materials and design flaws compared to the older DT-880/770/990 Pro lineup and the Edition models. Gonna be honest, though I have always loved the Beyer sound, having my DT 900 Pro X spontaneously develop that crack by the XLR (even though they swapped it for me under warra

yikes. none of them for 400. all headphones are surround, software handles positioning now. for 300usd you can get a pair of beyerdynamics and not replace them for 10 years. get a modmic or boom mic if you need. gaming headsets are low tier trash, generally, and youre better served with a pair of he

They were "DT990 Ear Pads - defean Replacement EarPad Ear Cushion Cover Earpads Compatible with beyerdynamic DT990 / DT880 / DT770 PRO Headset,Softer Leather,High-Density Noise Cancelling Foam, Added Thickness" from Amazon... Actually marked "Amazon's Choice." I don't like them. The material didn't

This is weird. I had this happen with my DT-990, but my (Beyer) replacement pads didn't flatten and neither did my DT-770. Both lasted longer and are still plump. But you can see variation in people's photos, so this definitely happens. If you ever change them again, take care not to squeeze them un

After years of being loyal to steelseries top line headsets I switched to Beyer dynamic DT-770. Because I have a Beacn Studio I didn't need a DAC... And boy. The DT-770's and 990's are atleast 100x better. Soundstage is just far superior as is quality. I wish I had known this years ago. Now I can he
