You just wear headphones over your HAs. I’ve tried this and found that it’s not very comfortable depending on the headphones. The Beyerdynamic ones mentioned above are good though as they have large ear cups. I’ve also had good luck with Hifiman and Sennheiser headphones.

If you are wanting a semi soundproof setup at home maybe look into making a closet booth or creating a booth out of room dividers and acoustic blankets. All the condenser mics are going to be super sensitive compared to dynamic mics by design. If you have the ability to make a makeshift booth and go

Beyerdynamic dt990. Open back headphones don't trap heat and allow you hear what's going on around you. Closed back are better if you want to block noise.

I have the DT-770 Pro 80 ohm, so mine will sound a little different from yours. You have the leatherette pads, right? I have velour. So it's likely you have more bass resonance due to the leatherette earpads, which is probably why you perceive less treble. Really, you're just perceiving more bass! :

Haha, the "beyer peak" - it's not subtle. If you have it, you notice it. =) Are you sure you have 32ohm headphones? What ohm does it say on the side? Looking at Beyer it states clearly that 770 Pro 32ohm has leatherette pads, and 80 & 250 ohm have velour: https://north-america.beyerdynamic.com/p/dt-

A quick test definitely isn't enough to judge -- your brain needs time to adjust to new headphones. That said, considering you can't really test them in duration without losing your ability to return -- maybe stick with the DT-770 80ohm. I have the DT-770 80ohm and DT-990 250ohm. I love these headph

Hopefully you can tame that piercing treble. It’s easier to cut highs than to force sub-bass from headphones that can’t reproduce it, which is why I think a DT-990 with EQ might outperform an HD6XX/650. The 990s seem to handle sub-bass boosts better, though it’s hard to compare directly without two

Only person who should buy a DT 770 is if that person already has another headset he can use for everything else, as soon as his ears hurt after an hour. So its more an "asset" headset. I could not have this headset for my daily driver at all... Impossible. It is for someone who has alot of money to

This is something I love about Beyerdynamic... They release the same edition headphones in open, closed, and sometimes semi-open. I got the DT-990 & DT-770 for this reason. The ups and downs of it are: The two headphones will feel identical, in a matched set like that, which is great because fullsiz

According to Beyer, the 250 ohm and 32 ohm sound the same and just require different levels of power... But the 80 ohm actually sounds different. Check out their blog post: https://blog-en.beyerdynamic.com/headphones-in-comparison-dt-770-pro-vs-dt-990-pr/ The difference is 250 and 32 have a three-pa
