If the headphones are in need of replacement, BeyerDynamic or Sennheiser have great quality headphones. They are german brands, and a bit on the higher end (like the Beyerdynamic DT 900 pro x, which is a great headset, is ~200 usd). They are built as studio-grade headphones. My last beyerdynamic las

I use a lot of headphones. The DT 990 Pro are absolute classics, or rather the DT 770 Pro (the closed-back version). The famous Beyer peak persists even today. I don't like it. That's why I've improved the sound using Peace (the GUI) and Equalizer Apo. I use the Oratory1990 presets in Equalizer Apo.

If you are wanting a semi soundproof setup at home maybe look into making a closet booth or creating a booth out of room dividers and acoustic blankets. All the condenser mics are going to be super sensitive compared to dynamic mics by design. If you have the ability to make a makeshift booth and go

Sorry, maybe the post was not clear enough. I thought you were referring to the mix sounding different after export because the process was left on. If instead you are referring to the process altering the mix while you work, so you cannot hear the mix in its original form, then I have to say that y

Haha, the "beyer peak" - it's not subtle. If you have it, you notice it. =) Are you sure you have 32ohm headphones? What ohm does it say on the side? Looking at Beyer it states clearly that 770 Pro 32ohm has leatherette pads, and 80 & 250 ohm have velour: https://north-america.beyerdynamic.com/p/dt-

Regrettably the DT 900 and DT 700 Pro X models seem to have no end of materials problems. I got spontaneous cracking on my earcup on the DT 900 Pro X, narrowly within warranty, but now they're both out and I'm just dreading when they start falling apart. It's stopped me dead from investing any more

I feel the Pro X line has materials and design flaws compared to the older DT-880/770/990 Pro lineup and the Edition models. Gonna be honest, though I have always loved the Beyer sound, having my DT 900 Pro X spontaneously develop that crack by the XLR (even though they swapped it for me under warra

Perhaps those headphones just don't work for you? I know I personally can't stand Beyerdynamics. Way too bright with extremely uneven and spiky treble. Then again I've heard some ok roughs I know are mixed using Beyers, so it clearly can be done. Just not for me. I've not heard the mk2s, but I've li

This is the best answer from the initial request. Except they are poorly built compared with the Beyerdynamics. And the isolation is a little bit better on the DT700. Still incredible flat sounding for the price. I wish Beyer made some a closed-back headphones that match the Harmann curve someday

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your headphones. It's concerning, build quality is of paramount importance to me and I've always liked Beyer's quality before. Your photo has the same look at the one in your link. Can you confirm what we're seeing in in your photo and the one linked --- it l
