under 250 theres a few routes you can go depending on whether you want open back for better gaming audio or closed back to avoid mic bleed. open back options like beyerdynamic dt 900 pro x and sennheiser hd560s are really good for fps footsteps and wide soundstage. both run fine without an amp but y

DT 900 Pro X or MMX 330 Pro for gaming?

MMX 330s are tuned for gaming (FPS). Yes you can EQ the DT900 Pro"s to the same level but out of the box the MMX 330s are better, especially for footstep audio. Even compared to the DT 1990 Pro MKII I can pinpoint footstep directions easier with the MMX 330 Pro in BF6 and the Mic is fantastic.

Hey gang! Are these like the best headphones to get for CS? They are in AUD btw, so probs like $450 USD I’d say

I second Beyerdynamic. Dt900 pro x feels like a wall hack in comparison to most mainstream brands. I used to own steelseries because they tend to be lighter (and therefore gentler on my neck muscles after long sessions) and they were decent. Turtle beach especially some of their wireless ones are he

I am using stock EQ with my DT900 pro x. I have no issues hearing footsteps and often time I heard the footsteps before my teammates do.

Thinking of getting the official XBOX wireless headset - Dolby Atmos question.

If you can't find the option in the app then yeah that's really your only option for good audio with no double processing. I have studio headphones rigged up. Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X's. I was using DTS Headphone X for the longest time but started realizing that even though it supplied that "wow" f

I need help

If your main focus is competitive gaming (footsteps / positioning / clarity) you’ll usually get better results looking at headphones with a more neutral or slightly bright tuning rather than “bass-heavy gaming headsets.” Since you don’t need a mic, some really solid options: Under ~$200 • Sennheiser

Gaming headset that sounds close to studio headphones ?

Every proper open back headphone will have more separation and spacial awareness than any 'gaming headset' so just go for an open back headphone in your price range. My personal fave are BD DT900 pro x but I think theres also some Fame clones of some Beyerdynamics models that sound pretty good for a

Do people tend to use the harman eq for competitive gaming or should I not use any eq for gaming

If you get a good pair of headphones that check all the boxes you need for gaming you don’t need to EQ HD490 Pro and The Aryas and the DT 900 Pro X are great examples of this they already have amazing detail, imaging and soundstage some better then others Aryas>HD490>DT900 Pro x. As someone who has
