Hi. I have a pair of Beyerdynamic DT900 Pro X which I’m really happy with. They are very comfy, and thanks to them being open-back, I can play for long sessions without getting tinnitus (which I had with closed-back, only with the piano. Still using my closed-back for movies, music, etc…). I really

Long time I used Bose QC35 II with(!) cable attached, to mix and master. That was kind of fine. But affordable are these not, but I had them lying around anyway. Later I invested in (actually cheaper) Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro X, which are open and quite comfortable to wear. My Laptops internal soundca

I second Beyerdynamic. Dt900 pro x feels like a wall hack in comparison to most mainstream brands. I used to own steelseries because they tend to be lighter (and therefore gentler on my neck muscles after long sessions) and they were decent. Turtle beach especially some of their wireless ones are he

I just got them as well (the open back 900 version). The ear cups are very very comfortable, the material is quite fluffy (more so than the 770/990 models) so with the closed back version I would expect a little bit of heat buildup but I doubt it's an issue since the cups are quite large, also proba

I bought the DT900 pro X's (functionally a very similar pair) for the same use case around 3 years ago and I have to say I haven't regretted it one bit. Obviously the sound and comfort are good but what has really impressed me is the build quality and repeatability. I had an issue with the cable con

Have the DT900 PRO and a pair of Maxwell's. My advice. Save your money you current headset is infinitely more comfortable and the wire is a minor inconvenience. The sound is different and much wider and open. You'll hate the weight of the Maxwell and "closed in" sound compared to open backs.

Check out Hifiman brand as well. More bass than similar priced Sennheiser/Beyerdynamic, could be to your liking. Ive got Beyerdynamic DT 900 pro X and they are comfy, good value for money soundwise.

the ear cups getting a bit to warm for my feeling, My old G35 had aftermarket earcups out of some mesh, i didn't warm up much. Other then that I find them ok. Still; this evening I'll try some FPS and tomorrow I'll get a DT 900 PRO X. I had two setups to chose, a all in one setting and a DT900 with

I am no audiophile but my beyerdynamic dt 900 pro x headphones sound great (to me) and are very comfortable. I use them for work calls, music and gaming. I think they are in your budget and worth a look.
