Mini PC vs. Custom Micro ATX Build: Why is the Mini PC so much cheaper?
Let's try to get as close to "Apples-to-Apples" as possible, using a 1-year warranty, dependably sourced Beelink SER8 8845HS as the example. ASRock DeskMini x600 Ryzen 7 8700G 32GB of dual channel CL40 DDR5 5600MT/s 1TB Gen4x4 NVMe SSDs Windows 11 Pro key Here's the build his less than $650, with th

Is this Beelink Ser8 64gb a M1 Mac mini contender?
Yes up to M2 I think. I'm also considering Ser8 and K8+ since I use Linux more than any OS, but it seems the big three Beelink, GMKTec and Minisforum try to buy off any negative reviews. There are many "stopped working" like reviews on Amazon, and in these forums. It might be best to get as barebone

Mini Pc runs Diablo 4?
The Chinese NUC market is somewhat new and volatile. A few years ago Minisforum, Beelink and Acemagic we're on top. Currently Beelink still has a popular reputation but newer brands like GMKtec and Geekom have moved beyond. Acemagic and Minisforum have made bad quality and customer service decisions

Why do so many Beelink SER8 Mini PCs stop working after just a few months?
I have family members who own Beelinks (not the SER8) and one of the PCs failed within a month due to the cheap SSD dying. The other is still running well 3 years later. The main issue I feel is that almost all of the mini PC companies are competing on cost, so they're picking subpar components.

I'm disappointed with some high-end Mini PCs
I don't think it's "the case blocking the signal", instead, the APU under load produces electromagnetic interference that disrupts both WIFI and Bluetooth. On my Beelink SER8 both my mouse (Bluetooth) and my wireless keyboard (2,4 GHz dongle) start dropping connection once I start playing games that

I don't think it's "the case blocking the signal", because even external 2,4GHz dongle is affected. Instead, I think the APU under load produces electromagnetic interference that disrupts both WIFI and Bluetooth. On my Beelink SER8 both my mouse (Bluetooth) and my wireless keyboard (2,4 GHz dongle)

Why do so many Beelink SER8 Mini PCs stop working after just a few months?
Damn, that’s really sad to hear 😞 I’m honestly worried my Beelink SER8 might also randomly stop working one day... If you can, it might be worth waiting 1–3 months before buying a new PC. Hopefully the Steam Machine will be released by then, it should be far more reliable than these Chinese mini PCs

I can't get past this screen
I had the same issue with my ser8, worked great for about 2 weeks then that started happening. I emailed beelink and they simply said to reinstall windows. I've since reinstalled it and it's working but now I can't get my video driver to download and update. I've gone to AMDs website, did the auto s

I'm disappointed with some high-end Mini PCs
On my Beelink SER8 both my mouse (Bluetooth) and my wireless keyboard (2,4 GHz dongle) start dropping connection once I start playing games that tax my GPU. So I think it's not the "metal case", but lack of inside shielding, and since everything is so close together, under load the electromagnetic i

Minisforum...you'll thank me to see this before buying one
Beelink sucks. Even on the product description of the SER8, it says that they have freezing issues and tell you to remove the memory and rub it with an eraser or replace the power supply. I didn't notice this when I bought it. They respond to support requests and have you do a bunch of gimmicky thin
