What brands or models to stay away from
A $150 BeeLink S12 Pro includes a 512gb M.2 with Win11, 16GB DDR4 Ram and has a spare 2.5ā drive bay to add an SSD. We have several of these little systems. Ram can be expanded to 32GB. Depends but yeahā¦ especially for anything mobile id rather have the laptop. For desktop PC use a reputable laptop Brand will typically have better hardware. For āserverā use however laptops generally suck IMO mainly due to heat and cooling. I donāt generally use any mini pc for anything importantā¦ b

This here. For the same price that you'd spend on a Raspi you might as well just get an old low power intel system. It just gives you more options and an upgrade path if you desired. Or something with an N100 like a Beelink Mini S12 Pro or something else cheap. Unless you wanna mess with dev shenani
