Help! Espresso spitting everywhere! [Sage Bambino]

I love that you committed to the video all the way until it started squirting on the lens, absolute cinema. I have been on your journey -- I tried so hard to save money on espresso grinding. I started with a KitchenAid grinder that was a super thoughtful gift from my mom and a cheap Hario hand grind

Will I regret getting the KingGrinder K6 over an electric grinder? [150AUD]

The K6 is the best option with that budget. Imo, you would need to in invest at least $300 for an electric grinder to see one even match the results of the K6. I had the Baratza Sette 270 for two years, which was about the best I could get for $200 (second hand). Guess what: The K6 was better.

Unusually high grind setting for espresso? Faint pinging noise at lower grind settings?

I visited a friend with a Baratza Sette 270 today and got a sample of grinds at setting #6 from his machine. That's a pretty typical espresso grind as far as I can tell. I then went home and ground a few beans on my DF54 at setting 27, 15, and 8. As judged by myself and my wife, visually and by touc

Grinder options [$400]

That's a tight budget, but as long as you pick something where you're aware of and ok with dealing with that grinder's pitfalls, it'll be fine and you'll be able to make great drinks. I'm upgrading from my Sette 270, and the only big issue with it is it's SO LOUD. If you can budget a bit more, a Eur

Question for people who make espresso and pots of drip coffee at home [$1000]

So I'm in agreement the most part with the comments that i read before replying. I'll give you my scenario and how I'd approach your question. I have a Moccamaster with the thermal carafe and no hotplate. It's great, but it's great at making a full pot of coffee. Not a half pot, not two cups. If mak

Good starter set? [$500]

I'd pick up a Gaggia instead of the Baby. I second the Baratza grinder. I'm actually selling my Sette 270 right now for $90. Outer orbital burr is worn.

I was a year outside of warranty, but Baratza still sent me a new motor assembly for my Sette 270. 🙏

My Sette 270 died last week, 2.5 years after purchase. Customer service offers me to buy a new gearbox & motor assembly [1] + power board [2], but won't replace it for free. That's $95 USD before shipping (I'm in Canada, so exchange rate + shipping + customs duty because of tariff rates), so not pro
