My wife is the greatest !
Oh wow! This would literally be my End Game handheld collection. Legion Go 2 - Z2 Extreme (For basically all types of gaming and PS3 and Xbox 360 emulation) AYN Odin 3 (For PSP, PS Vita and basically everything else) AYN Thor (For 3DS, DS and whatever fits with this one) Nintendo Switch 2 (For all N

We need a new manufacturer in the console market
There is only one company I know that has a chance in doing this, and that’s AYN. They are taking over retro handheld gaming market by storm. Their latest product: Odin 3 looks like serious competitor, limited only by its target audience. Suspend your biases for a Chinese company for a second. AYN a

Apparently Tomodachi Life Living The Dream has been already dumped
Only if you want to play Nintendo first party exclusives like Mario and Zelda. If not, get a Steamdeck, or another PC handheld that you can install Steam on. I've got all the consoles except for Xbox, and I've found myself using my Ayn Odin 3 a lot lately, since most handheld friendly Steam games ar

Getting a ODIN 2 mini or ODIN 3 for indie games?
I love my Odin 2 mini, got the pro model for $299 on Amazon. I play a lot of switch and pc games on it these days, anything from doom 2016, and pokemon sword to stardew valley and octopath traveler. I will say the battery on the mini is more limited than the one in the Odin 3 for sure(although it ch

What video game is this for you?
If you're still considering stuff, another option is handhelds. The obvious answer is a SteamDeck, but those are hard to find right now. A possible viable option right now is actually one that surprised me: Android handhelds. Those things pack a surprising punch. They were mostly used for retro emul

S25 Ultra or dedicated handheld?
The problem with emulation on phones is the heat and the way the system manages RAM and uses the power of the SoC (Thanks to Bloatware) A handheld device allows you to fully utilize the power of the SoC, and thanks to its dedicated cooling system it can emulate many more things. If your budget allow

WHICH BUDGET HANDHELD TO GET?
Since this is your first handheld, the absolute biggest thing you need to consider is form factor and weight. If you're traveling a lot, a massive, heavy device is eventually going to just stay in your bag. Personally, I'm used to the older PSP-style form factor, so I always lean towards lighter dev

Legion Go vs Legion Go S vs Steam Deck OLED – Best screen, battery & perf for 15–20W handheld gaming?
Have you considered an OLED Android handheld like the Ayn Odin 3 or Portal? The Retroid Pocket 6 should also be coming out soon.cYou'll get much better battery life for emulation out of that with actually better PS2 performance than the Steam Deck (though mature software support kinda stops there ri

What are your End Game devices?
PS5 Pro - my main way to game…I get most of my games here and prefer the ecosystem. 75% of my time is spent gaming on the console or streaming it with my handhelds. Gaming PC - Recently got a 5080 (a couple months ago), and had 64 GB of RAM so I will be using this for a while to run my AAA PC games.

Consolidating my handhelds: AYN Thor vs Odin 3 alongside a Mac Mini + Moonlight setup
My Thor (Purple Max, pre-UFS nerf model) arrived this past weekend and I've been tinkering with it/setting it up, finally in a place where I'm happy with it. I currently use Cocoon with the Cocoonix theme, with ES-DE + ES-DE Companion as my fallback option via Mjolnir. With the Thor added to my rost
