Oh wow! This would literally be my End Game handheld collection. Legion Go 2 - Z2 Extreme (For basically all types of gaming and PS3 and Xbox 360 emulation) AYN Odin 3 (For PSP, PS Vita and basically everything else) AYN Thor (For 3DS, DS and whatever fits with this one) Nintendo Switch 2 (For all N

Depends on the goals. Same exact SOC, But the thor is much more versatile in what it does. If you dont plan on playing any dual screen consoles (DS, 3DS, Will U) then the odin 2/ odin 2 portal will be great for you, and a bit cheaper for the same performance. The thor can do everything the portal do

The best handheld values right now are XBox Ally X (for performance) Ninetendo Switch 2 for budget/console experience XBox Ally (budget PC device) If you want to buy used you can find Switch OLED, Ally Z1E, Legion Go 1, and some Steam Decks. An Ally X occasionally shows up at a good price. You could

There is only one company I know that has a chance in doing this, and that’s AYN. They are taking over retro handheld gaming market by storm. Their latest product: Odin 3 looks like serious competitor, limited only by its target audience. Suspend your biases for a Chinese company for a second. AYN a

I love my Odin 2 mini, got the pro model for $299 on Amazon. I play a lot of switch and pc games on it these days, anything from doom 2016, and pokemon sword to stardew valley and octopath traveler. I will say the battery on the mini is more limited than the one in the Odin 3 for sure(although it ch

Eh. I think the answer depends on if the ram shortage loosens/if they think a 12gb rp6 would move at the prices they'll need to make the ram worth it. With Ayn being the slightly more premium moorechip brand, and with there being a general computing crunch, I could 100% see the answer to "there's de

If the PC is AAA mid-high settings powerful, I’ll take that. Any lower than that and I’d get an Android handheld like the AYN Thor or Odin 3. I’ve had a good experience docking my AYN Thor to my TV and using it as a pseudo console.

Here’s a comparison of game compatibility between the Nova & Odin 3 for reference. They’re pretty similar in chipset compatibility and performance but there are some differences to be aware of, the biggest issue is the screen size & aspect ratio. There’s just no good reason to limit yourself to 4:3

The problem with emulation on phones is the heat and the way the system manages RAM and uses the power of the SoC (Thanks to Bloatware) A handheld device allows you to fully utilize the power of the SoC, and thanks to its dedicated cooling system it can emulate many more things. If your budget allow

Since this is your first handheld, the absolute biggest thing you need to consider is form factor and weight. If you're traveling a lot, a massive, heavy device is eventually going to just stay in your bag. Personally, I'm used to the older PSP-style form factor, so I always lean towards lighter dev
