Best headphones for Video Editing.

I also edit on a Mac mini and I use a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M40x headphones. For critical listening you need a good pair of over-the-ear studio reference monitor phones for accuracy, comfort and passive isolation. What you don't need is active noise cancellation specially in consumer grade head

Trying to set my gf up for Xmas & don’t know where to start

If you already have a decent laptop and monitors, a Ddj flx4 and some headphones like the Audio Technica ATH-M40x would set her up to start djing!

Any wired and wireless headphones good for videography in 2026?

I like my Audio Technica ATH-M40x for both studio usage and field. Sometimes though I don’t want to pack something that bulky and I’ll pack my Shure SE535Q IEMs for a smaller, noise isolated package

Those K240s are solid but if you're strict on the $50 budget the Audio-Technica ATH-M40x goes on sale for around $45-50 pretty regularly and they're great for guitar practice

Have you ever tried Panasonic HT030 headphones?

Buy some, and let us know. At first glance, they look flimsy and probably don't provide any isolation. My best field cans are Audio-Technica ATH-M40X.

Best speakers for learning by ear

Audio-Technica ATH-M40x headphones might be better than speakers for ear training since you can really isolate individual instruments in the mix. Got mine for like $100 and they've been solid for picking apart guitar parts - way easier than trying to hear everything through speakers when you're in a
