I have the XG27AQDMG and I'm fairly happy with it. At 100% brightness in SDR mode it gets bright enough for my liking. Build quality is great and the Asus Display Widget center is useful for changing screen settings. I also like that i don't need to keep the software open in the background, you can

Yes, it’s an OLED — the Asus ROG XG27AQDMG. And for the light bar: it actually sits perfectly in the small black bezel area, so it doesn’t cover the display at all.

Yeah you don't really need a 9950x3d, 64gb of RAM, or a EATX motherboard - a much more standard build would serve you perfectly well. Good use of the saved funds is maybe an OLED monitor:https://pcpartpicker.com/product/mMsV3C/asus-rog-strix-xg27aqdmg-265-2560-x-1440-240-hz-monitor-xg27aqdmg It's no

OLED looks amazing for gaming, but for a 50/50 gaming and school setup, I’d probably lean IPS at your budget since text is usually cleaner and you won’t have to think as much about fuzzy text or burn-in stuff. Basically OLED is the prettier option and IPS is the all-around option for mixed use. With

I had it on g60sd and lowering refresh rate didn’t fix that. I’m now using asus xg27aqdmgr and no luck either. My gpu is 7800xt and I’m planning to get rid of this piece of crap. To addition I had issue with certain apps giving grey screen/freezes and drivers pop up message with occasional random pc
