This is going to make the current prices explode even more. I'm currently realizing that the Rog Flow Z13 395+ with 64GB of ram that I got for $1400 is going to be the going price of JUST the ram.

Don't feel bad about not understanding CPU names, they intentionally obfuscate the meaning these days. Also, you shouldn't need to worry about getting Linux working, everything Framework ships is compatible. The Framework 12 only has Intel i3 and i5 13th gen mobile U processors available. While comp

If you have to carry all that stuff, just get a good gaming laptop. Otherwise, if you want even more portability, then get the Asus Rog Flow Z13. It's pretty expensive, but it will play every game at laptop 4070 level.

You're literally asking high specs in a small package, the most powerful I know of is the ROG Flow Z13 with Ryzen HX395+(RTX 4060 levels of performance), which is like the Surface Pro a tablet with a keyboard. The smaller you go the harder it is to cool and power it. Keep in mind, more powerful chip

They did this only to facilitate AI development right? Basically selling the Strix Halo or Max 385 and Max+ 395 as direct to consumer as they can. It’s not like AMD really has a place you can buy that in an easy way so really this is the only option if you want as little stuff around it as possible.

Sounds about right. 3tk/s for a 70B@q8 is 210GB/s. The Phawx tested Strix Halo at ~217GB/s. How much did your MacBook cost? You can get the Asus Z13 tablet with Strix Halo and 128GB for $2.8k. That's almost half what a M4 Max MBP with 128GB costs where I live.

Got the 5090 XG in last week. Two day shipping was a nice surprise. Literally plug and play for my 2025 Z13. Maxed out High/Ultra settings on everything I’ve tried thus far. I have a Razer eGPU setup I was using for an older Razer gaming laptop and this is much quieter and takes up far less space th

While I do agree with him on some of his opinions regarding power limits, he seems to indicate that the power limits only get lower when you choose even cheaper laptops than the Legion he tested. Of course this isn't true, In the high-end market there are a lot of new form factor devices that are us
