Does the Asus 140w GAN charger fully power the 2023 4060/4070 flow x13?

On the spec it supports 20V 6.5A so yes. As far as I know only the original charger and the ASUS 140w GAN can fully power 2023 Flow X13.

I switched to Linux (NixOS) and nearly all my problems are gone

Yes. I also use nixos on my Asus rog flow x13 for almost 4 or 5 years. You can use asusctl and supergfxctl for everything that helped does. Sometimes it was kinda wonky when I wanted to completely disable the dedicated nvidia GPU for power savings though. Nowadays I just use supergfxctl in integrate

Battery life on Linux.

On my Asus rog flow x13 the battery life with ferdora workstation 42 is the same as it was with windows 10. Both use between 6 and 12W for normal light use like watching youtube or reading pdfs

Asus ROG Flow X13 (2021) + XG Mobile (RTX 3080) - Experiences with Bazzite OS or other distros for the proprietary eGPU?

I’ve been doing a bit of distro hopping over the past few weeks with my Flow X13 (2022) and the AMD XG Mobile. I started with Bazzite, which worked great out of the box, but I wasn’t a fan of the immutable system since I use my laptop for more than just gaming. After that, I tried Manjaro (Arch-base

Did anyone bought this 65W GaN charger for x13??

I cannot say to the one you’ve highlighted. I bought initially what I thought was an official one only to find it was a generic 100w one deemed compatible with all the flow x13 range. Then it failed to charge more than 40w when actually used. So I bought an official one from ASUS.

First ThinkPad and my honest opinion (T480)

I got a t480s a year ago for $140, had to put in an ssd and I replaced the screen with a t490 screen thats brighter and has better color. Battery had 83% when I bought it now its 72%. In linux I still get about 4-5 hours. I had a surface pro 3 with linux before this. The thinkpad is much better. I h

Not upgrading to the 2023 model when I had the chance is one of my biggest regrets

Funny you say this I just sold my 6900HS/3050Ti 2022 Flow X13 and grabbed a Steamdeck OLED for the same price! Couldn't be happier. I was so over the fact that it never went to sleep state (had to use hibrid) and thermal throttled even with some thermal pad mods and G-Helper tweaking. I would pick i

Ultraportable Gaming Laptop

What means ultra portable for you?I used a Dell XPS 9530 (very slim, 15") with a 4070. But if you want decent GPU power, cooling is always a issue and all thin devices will run into a limit. (Dell limited the max TCP drastically). So 14" is possible, but with a certain level of height as fans need s

What computer did you use before you became a thinkpad user and why did you switch.

I’m guessing you haven’t used an Asus laptop for a while, have you? For G16 and warranty “””improvement””” just look up “g16 burnt” on Reddit and see what people who had to deal with their rma had to say. Their entire 2023 G16 Strix line up has a bug that will burn the mobo after some time and they
