Microsoft reveals major price increases for all Surface PCs as RAM crisis continues

I used to stay on Surface because they were the only option for a proper dGPU in a 2-in-1. But now, Asus has such great alternatives with the ProArt PX13 and the Flow X13 - and for much, much cheaper - that I really don't see the appeal of Microsoft hardware anymore.

Financial question: ASUS ROG Flow X13 GV302 or Apple Vision Pro

So you have M4 Macbook Pro and Apple Vision Pro and you want money asap right? My best advice is to sell Apple Vision Pro at a reduced price (Maybe around 1500 eur) and just use your M4 Macbook. If you're used to Mac, then just keep using Macbook. That M4 Macbook Pro 14 of yours is faster, more port

Will there be 2026 version for ROG Flow X13?

I don't think Asus will produce a Flow X13 in 2026 or again. They have the Pro Art PX13 for creators / semi gamers and the Z Flow 13 now in 2025 for the 13 inch gaming space.

Does the Asus 140w GAN charger fully power the 2023 4060/4070 flow x13?

On the spec it supports 20V 6.5A so yes. As far as I know only the original charger and the ASUS 140w GAN can fully power 2023 Flow X13.

Yippeee!!! Another rando who doesn’t know how to spend their money!!!

High end gaming laptops tend to be heavy and more of a "desktop replacement" than truly portable laptop. Also if using it for school, battery life will be important so youre not scrambling for an outlet or having it die on you at the worst possible moment. If you can find it, an asus rog flow x13 wi

I switched to Linux (NixOS) and nearly all my problems are gone

Yes. I also use nixos on my Asus rog flow x13 for almost 4 or 5 years. You can use asusctl and supergfxctl for everything that helped does. Sometimes it was kinda wonky when I wanted to completely disable the dedicated nvidia GPU for power savings though. Nowadays I just use supergfxctl in integrate

Will there be 2026 version for ROG Flow X13?

100% agreed. I think the Flow X13 series is fantastic but I just don't see Asus continuing it. The PX13 took the shell of the X13 so that is why I don't think they will make another 13 inch clamshell gaming device. With the new 5090 egpu that is USB/Thunderbolt 5, the proprietary connection on the X

Managed to get a pretty sweet deal for €1000

The battery, the keyboard, the hinges and the fans. Those parts wear out naturally over the years and you cant maintain those. The screen can also get scratched up from rubbing into the keyboard so i highly recommend you get those screen protector cloths that are super thin that just block the keybo

Kde plasma can be pretty

Unfortunately, it doesn't work anymore; I bought a relatively new Asus. Depending on your laptop's specifications, it might be fine, but since I play games, I prefer touchscreen ones (Clash of Clans :P), I paid less than $600 for a used generation Rog Flow x13 2021 model, but it might be available f
