MacBook Pro for Linux Users - we might have an answer

I have a macbook pro as well as some linux machines. I don’t think the framework really compares. The modularity—while nice—doesn’t feel as sleek. Most of what you listed is now relatively common. The closest I’ve had to an MBP as far as feel goes is a Lonovo Yoga. But I ended up with an Asus ProArt

Worst Laptop Experience Ever

Reinstall Windows, the stock one is pure hot garbage and do not install all the ASUS crap (other than MyASUS for updates). For wifi card yeah... Switching to Intel made all the difference. Was unable to reliably game whatsoever on MediaTek. I agree it is definitely not the best experience, I also ha

What would you recommend day one?

I just did the same. Initially everything worked except for the onboard audio and mic. But once I found the asus-proart-px13-quirks package and the linux-cachyos-px13 package, all my problems were solved and it's been problem free and super smooth for the last few days.

[Desktop] Can't install new AMD Chipset Drivers (Error 1603)

I don't have the Framework desktop, but I got my wife an Asus PX13 with a Ryzen AI Max+388 and I have had the same issue with their latest drivers. I did eventually get it to install but then my audio broke and I had to roll it back. I think there is some issues with the driver package, might be bet

PX13 vs ROG Flow Z13 for drawing

This is a great point that deserves a new thread. The new Asus pen 3 is a sneak new release that comes with the new px13. I own a 2025 z13 coming from a surface pro 8 and I absolutely love my new device as so far it's everything I ever wanted out of my surface, sacrificing only a few millimeters of

ProArt PX13 GoPro Edition vs Flow Z13

I really liked it, but there were a few caveats that made me return it. Your mileage may vary. At the time there was a firmware issue with the display that made the buttons on any MPP pen (even the included Asus Pen) not work correctly and thus made it very hard to use for both school and work. Sinc

Updates and Drivers Outdated?

Yes!!! Even on the latest PX13 GoPro drivers on MyAsus are over 6 months out of date. And installing the official AMD one kills sound, and has all year despite reports, although some people had success with some rollback workarounds - it has been super mixed. It's the one downside to this model.

Px13 GoPro Edition

not an LLM guy, but i can tell you this ... Is the new PX13 128GB RAM variant a decent and stable laptop for everyday use? i run an Adobe Creative cloud workflow. multiple 2.5GB PSB files in Photoshop, INDD, Illustrator, Bridge all cooking at the same time. but get this: IN SILENT MODE. this thing i

New HDR Driver Legion Go: 8ASP2, 8AHP2

I thought when I sold my Legion Go 2 and got an Asus PX13 (Strix Halo 388) convertible laptop, I thought I was getting away from poor driver support. But Asus is almost the same thing. We can at least install the latest AMD drivers direct, but then it breaks the audio. I was able to fix the audio by

Long term users of Surface running Snapdragon processors, how are things going?

Amazing. The best PC I've ever owned. I recently bought an ASUS ProArt PX13 with the Ryzen AI Max chip, as well as the SP11 with Intel. Ended up returning them both to stick with the snapdragon. I was surprised by how much the PX13 didn't feel faster for most things. It just feels the snappiest on b
