Your grind has to be coarser. My standard grind on a Varia VS3 is around 3.3 for the Ascaso Dream PID and I've found that 4+ works for the Nano and (delivers pretty good results)

Late reply but It's a really good machine. Only downsides are taking long to heat up for steam. I would argue against Ascaso. I have Dream Pid and Duo Steel Pid and both machines are very flimsy. Duo has very quirky steam and Dream is very weak if the puck in't prepped good enough. I would go with Profitec which I would buy if it would fit my coffee corner. I was in the shop for measurement an
