Most of my friends crap on me for buying an Apple Studio Display, but I have to say, it really did away with the nightmare of having to utilize a docking station, desktop speakers, and a million cables. Is it too late to return the mini?

Apple Studio Display XDR Review: We're All Pros Now!
Hot take, but the loudest complainers of every iteration of the Studio Display are the ones who have to try really hard to justify the purchase and don't actually own or use one daily. I actually own a Studio Display and use it every day for work as a designer, personal usage and light gaming. Now g

What is the best monitor for Mac mini M4 as of 2026?
I commented on your other post too but I’ll post here for anyone else that sees. The Dell S2725QC is a great budget 27” 4K monitor with USB-C connectivity and decent built in speakers too. The colors are great and text is nice and sharp. Apple's Studio Display is “the best” for Mac if you want to sp

Apple's Studio Display 2 Reportedly on Track to Launch This Year With These New Features
For what they do, Studio Displays are cheap. I have two reference displays in my org. They both do one type of reference and cost the company $13000 each. We have to bid for time with them basically. Studio Displays are $5000 and do 5 reference types. Including two my team mates bid for time on. We

Two New Apple Displays Nearing Mass Production, May Launch This Year
Aren’t they insanely expensive? Compared to what? I paid more for my iPhone that I will only keep for 3 years than i did for my Studio Display that I will have for 10+ years. I’ve never understood the attraction compared to just another far cheaper monitor. Same as buying the higher quality, more ex

Mini M4 Pro - Every monitor seems like a downgrade from iMac 27" Retina
I got a used 27” LG 5k for $400, the one that is an Apple Studio Display competitor and that isn’t a downgrade from your iMac monitor. Look around for used monitors that you can pickup in person and check the screen before you buy.

M5 iPad Pro Could Hint at New Studio Display Feature [120 Hz]
It would be great if the older Studio Displays gets a price cut :)

Did I take the wrong car??
If you do any kind of photo, video, or design work, the Studio Display is tough to beat in absolute terms. The ASUS ProArt is definitely far better value, but if you’ve got the budget for a Studio it’s an excellent product.

So there are no GLOSSY 5K@120 Hz option if I don't wanna spend 3K on the ASD XDR ?
I think many of us here are or were in the same spot. I went for a matte none-Apple monitor. However, Apple products do hold their value long-term better than the rest as there’s more demand. I just saw someone sell a four year old used ASD for 1150€ on eBay - so considering the resell value and ass

why do iMac feel kinda ignored now?
It’s literally just the 24” monitor. It’s the only complaint I ever see about iMac. If they sold the iMac as a 27” Apple studio display gen 1 with at least an M2 processor for ~$1300 I think people would jump on it.
