A windows user here, need to buy Mac mini for some apps testing, should i wait for mac mini m5? what's the probability of June Release?

You don’t need all that CPU power just for app testing. Just buy some Mac Mini. Upgrade with maximum RAM for fortune use, that’s more important than CPU speed. The M4 is already rocket fast! 🚀

M4 Mac mini cluster saving thousands per month

We’re on monthly billing with Google Cloud. I maxed out most of the specs on the Mac mini but I don’t think I ended up needing to. I wasn’t sure what the hardware requirements would end up being so I erred on the side of over-provisioning: M4 Pro chip with 14‑core CPU, 20‑core GPU, 16-core Neural En

Apple Neo

500 with education discount is wild. 8 GB RAM is not ideal but K-12, college students, and pretty much everyone else with non specialized work should at least consider this as their first device. The fact that I can get this and the M4 Mac Mini for around the price of the new Air is amazing. Can’t r

This MacBook Neo has been upgraded to 1TB

I upgraded my two M4 Mac Mini's from the base 256 GB to 1 and 2 TB, it's a super simple upgrade. The only downside is that you need a second Mac with Apple Silicon chip to do the DFU restore and re-flash macOS.

Letting off steam - from a Windows user of almost 3 decades.

M4 Mac Mini with Tahoe 26.2. No bugs whatsoever, everything is snappy and fast. Although my M4 Mini is maxed out and not the standard model.

What do you run Plex on?

Mac Mini M4 with a QNAP DAS. It's overkill but close to zero maintenance. My last server was a 2014 Mac Mini that lasted 10 years.....in fact it would probably still be fine if I didn't upgrade.

For Base M1 Macbook Air users, did you decide to keep your air over the spirtual sucessor Macbook Neo and wy?

I don’t see a reason to trade in an M1 for a neo. That’s actually a downgrade. The point of the Neo is to address the worldwide economic collapse and provide competition for all the cheap, crappy windows laptops you see on display at Walmart and target and even Best Buy. If you have a base M1 then t

Apple Announces Plans to Begin Assembling Mac Mini in U.S. This Year

I guess I'm weird and irregular... I upgraded from an M1 Max Mac Studio to an M4 Pro Mac mini and love it. I'm able to emulate games in RPCS3 at higher resolutions with better FPS. The CPU improvements are noticeable. I also have an M4 MacBook Air but I find myself using my Mac mini much, much more.

Worth $300 extra? M4 or M4 Pro with 24gb ram 512gb hd.

I made this choice when I bought my Mac Mini M4Pro. For the money you are getting more ram and ssd like you mention AND faster ram, faster SSD, faster ports, and more compute cores. I wanted the 512 more than the other items but paid a little more than upgrading a Mac Mini M4 to 512 and got more tha

My current Mac Pro rig!

Well, upgradeability was a huge factor for me. I don't want to be that guy but pretty much any M4 and above will trounce a Mac Pro 2019 most tasks no matter how much money you throw at it. I hope the 3,000€ wasn't recent and spread over time as that'd netted you a Mac Studio external thunderbolt sto
