2013 Mac Pro -> 2019 Mac Pro
For your work, I don’t think it’s worth getting an Intel Mac anymore. The only merit to the 2019 Mac Pro is its upgradability and expansion capabilities, but Lightroom doesn’t exactly benefit from that. A Mac mini with the M4 Pro chip would be about the same or even beat it in Lightroom while being

Is this a good deal?
NO. Mac Mini M4 New is $769 https://amzn.to/3RVZMgZ with much faster SSD and newest gen processor. If you are going to run LLMs on it, DONOT buy M1.

Can anyone tell by installing hackintosh is there an advantage over windows 11 like performance or anything .. New here
So this remined me of my first hackbook pro haha. Had an HP laptop with a 6th gen i5 and it would struggle with premiere pro, so I hackintoshed it. It would crash almost every time on windows but never once crashed on macos. I did the same with my trusty x260 and that is running sequoia rn. It has t

Gemini 3.5 pro leaks : coming tomorrow - It is already deployed and ready for release. - It will most likely be released publicly tomorrow, with only a small chance of launching today.
Imagine if apple launched the Mac Studio with M4, and then launched the Mac Mini with M5.. that’d be crazzzzzzzyyyy

Hermes + Deepseek Flash v4 0731 = GOOOOOAAAAAAT
You can run hermes agent on a raspberry pi. So your Mac Mini M4 16GB is very capable and even overkill if you ask me. Anyway, just use a api of any ai cloud provider. Deepseek or minimax are very cheap. But i find deepseek better.

Microsoft just deleted Windows 11's 32GB RAM recommendation docs, as prices soar and it rushes to sell 8GB RAM PCs
I have a new Mac Mini M4 (16gb RAM, 512gb storage) and honestly its a really nice system. Granted it can't really be up upgraded but for what it cost its very effective and pleasant to use. I was on a PC running Win 11 and I am very glad to be free of that shitshow. I did try upgrading the PC by ins

Tired (and annoyed) beyond measure...
A M4 Mac mini with 24 GB will get the job done. The mac’s SSD could be 512 GB, especially if you store the LrC Library on a Thunderbolt 4 or equivalent external storage. I recommend 1 TB to avoid unforeseen future needs.

96GB Mac Studio usable for AI?
For video editing and making music it's a fantastic machine. For software development sure I'm just doing web stuff like Node.JS and occasionally some python backend coding but I mean a Mac mini M4 can do that just as well. I think alot of people have been tricked into thinking a Mac Studio is the o

Thinking about switching completely to Apple ecosystem
I guess if you get used to using a 15 year old Mac and an old cheap iPhone, you'll really love when you switch to modern versions. I have an old Mac mini that I put an SSD in and use OpenCore with, but it is so much slower than my m4 mini I really never use it for anything requiring interaction. Jus
