I mean that many plug/unplug actions is less than ideal, but I can't say if it will actively harm the mini. If it's shut down each time I don't think there would be any risk involved. I upgrade from an m1 to a m4 Mac mini, both with 16GB RAM. Besides the advantages of the smaller size and ports. I see no performance difference whatsoever. Using for mostly basic office work

I was in the same boat, had a Mac mini m4 on my desk and never used it. Then one day my Lenovo was having a bad day and I started using it. Haven’t really gone back. The only time I use it now is when I need portability but I am going to just get a MacBook Pro and make it my daily driver.

Just... please don't. If you're asking how, then this is gonna be absolute jank, like all Mac Mini M4 "mods". There's no sport here. The size difference is so vast that there's enough space that I can literally set the Mini ontop of the optical drives in my G4 without removing anything. Mac Mini It'
