Help deciding on resin printer as of 2026
P1 and s4u16k side by side in my garage right now. P1 wins. With some caveats. I'm gonna post a comparison at some point. Build quality, build plate, vat, heating system, door, all better than the ultra. I got the p1 for 550 and the 16k for 500. It's worth the 50 bucks to me. This is saying somethin

The new Photon P1 Max looks amazing
I was a bit annoyed when I heard that this was happening after backing the P1 on Kickstarter. I managed to get that for about £350, with the refund and the voucher factored in. Seeing it now I doubt I would have gone for the Max if that had come first. I was willing to risk the £350 but not double t

Anycubic Photon P1, What am I missing?
I was totally confused with the marketing so I asked Anycubic. The reply I received today was that the P1 by default comes with the single large vat and build plate. If you want to use the dual vat/build plate for some weird reason (I say weird as I can't think of a personal need for that), then you

Which one do you think I should aim for ?
Kobras are cheaper and very comparable. I use both. While I prefer Bambu over anycubic slightly, the price can’t be beat with it. Slicers are pretty much identical. They are upgrading the ace units, which was by far the weakest point in them. For Bambu? I rub P1 series, P2, and have 2 H2Cs. If money

UniFormation GK3 Ultra vs Anycubic Photon P1 Max?
The p1 max in the process of releasing so there will be more first hand experience in the coming days. Uniformation has a lot of controversy over the gk3 ultra, enough to scare me away. They changed the design from a dual rail to a single on release and didn’t tell anyone. Their slicer is just a rip

Things I need to know beforehand
1 - My top recommendation is the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra either 16k or 12k. Pros and cons of each: 16k has a heated vat which is good for unheated spaces as well as better for engineering resins with higher viscosity which print better heated. 16k only has 3-bit grayscale / 6 usable shades of gray (12

FDM user looking to buy a resin printer for the first time use
Heygears Reflex RS is less than the P1 on sale right now. That’s a far better printer than any Anycubic. If the Saturn 3 (non-Ultra) is available in your market, that’s the best bang for your buck available, and it has a higher Z height than any newer printer. The Anycubic Wash & Cure 3.0 Plus is go

Jupiter 2 gets released in 7 days… what your thoughts?
Feels like it is probably rushed because anycubic announced the p1 max and then delayed it to march. Which that felt rushed also because this was announced last year but delayed multiple times. Feel like they both are trying to be first to market with a large printer that actually has a resolution t

H2C overkill for a first “serious” printer?
Anycubic has some new kobras that are suppose to be more efficient on waste and faster. Waiting for them to arrive. I have 2 H2Cs (we sell a lot and run about 30 printers). I love them. The waste saved and leaving my prices as is, so I will have a higher markup, will have them pay for themselves qui

Second printer
What are your specific maintenance issues? Across 5 different printers, my Saturn 4 Ultras 12k and 16k are easily 95% of my printing because every other machine is more work. Particularly the ergonomics and low drip / mess is a big win over other machines which almost always need a wipe down after r
