Intel Solves 18A Yield Issues, Production Reaches 30,000 Wafers Per Month

This. TBH I just want to see AMD respond with something other than "but Strix Halo is better" while ignoring the massive difference in TDP/thermal profile.

Reverse engineering Apple’s GPU power model revealed a 114W unexplained energy component

Very interesting analysis! However, I believe that other components on the motherboard might also consume parts of the total system power (presumably measured by PDTR according to your analysis or PSTR according to some other threads on older chips such as M4 Pro / M3 Max). For example, those might

AMD Lucebox Beats Nvidia DGX Spark by 3.63x on DeepSeek V4 Flash

GMTek Strix Halo 128GB $3,650 Radeon AI PRO R9700 $1,360 Luce Box $7,900 That's one hell of a markup for a PCIe slot and 300W more from the PSU. The spec sheet doesn't even say if it's PCIe x16. The Framework Desktop mentions an unaccessible PCIe 4.0 x4 and 2x m.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 (which could fit a ocul

Why the Onexplayer 3 hype and not the X2 Mini

The "only" reason is a pretty bold claim. You don't think people care about convenience, battery life, fan noise, weight, etc? While it's a good point to bring up the fact that the X2 Mini came out after the Win 5 and Apex, the OXP3 also came out after the G3E Claw sold out at all major retailers. T

Brand new

With that hardware you are very limited. Realistically, 8B models on q4, q5 like qwen are your safe limit (I am guessing it is a 12GB vram 3060), above that the model would spill into the system ram and therefore inference speed will drastically go down. One model I encourage you to try is Gemma 4 1

👋 We're on the ROG team: a quick survey on how you actually use your Z13

So one of the nice things about the Z13 is that it offers so much more value than HP's Zbook Ultra G1a, offering an additional rear camera and a microSD card slot (would have been nicer to have a full SD card slot since that's what cameras use) as well as touchscreen and stylus input support. The pr

M5 Ultra Mac Studio Could Launch in 2026 With Up to 768GB of RAM (Poor me who can't even afford 32-64GB of RAM)

Please point to where I can get an AMD Strix Halo or NVIDIA Spark platform the approaches anywhere near the value and power efficiency of MLX at 512gb unified ram scales (it does not exist). I say this as someone who has never purchased or used an Apple product, ever

I own the Lenovo Legion Go 8APU1 and I feel it’s quite weak in terms of gaming performance

Bought the same device for around 450€ last year. Great for streaming. But for gaming I constantly use Lossless scaling for acceptable performance. Nowadays it is considered entry level device. For low TDP performance and overpaying go with Intels G3E chip. For sucking electricity and raw power AMDs

OXP3 Pledge - Does It Include The Keyboard

Actually isn’t given the op3 is using intel newest chip architecture that is way more power efficient and doesn’t need as beefy a cooling solution as amd strix halo platform. One of the reasons for the external battery on the apex and op2 mini pro. This is coming from an apex owner from when prices
