Why i dont reccomend kindle scribe to ANYONE.

I absolutely don't want any other apps. The entire reason I reach for my Scribe is that I want some disconnected, undisturbed peace with a good book. I've owned Kindles for years and I've hardly bought any books from the Amazon Kindle store. I get ebooks elsewhere, convert them with Calibre if neede

Alternative to DeDRM

im gonna second this, i have regrets now after buying the scribe and not exploring other options more before hand. Amazon is as anti consumer as they get now.

Wish list: portable, smaller, Kindle Scribe

My hand is raised and my bullhorn is out! I have been wanting this for a year. Looked at the other similar devices (reMarkable Move, etc.) but would prefer the Kindle-type device. Just a gray scale, A5-ish, half-sized Scribe. Extra points if they call it a “Scribble”.

Why are ereader not getting better?

Thinner chassis doesn't make as much sense in e-readers as customers need to be able to hold the device. That's actually why Kindle Scribe, Kindle Oasis, Kobo Libra etc all have one protruding side where they also tuck in the battery. Though the upcoming Scribes have smaller bezels, it's just not as

If you're a university student thinking about buying a Remarkable tablet DON'T

This is more a case of you wanting features that are not included in the Remarkable and have been left out for a very specific reason. You are likely better off with taking notes on a regular tablet like an iPad. The Remarkable fits a pretty narrow slice of the digital note taking market and if you

2025 Kindle scribe colorsoft or iPad Pro?

they are pretty different in price and use. If you want to watch videos, listen to music and browse internet go with the ipad. If you want a dedicated device for write and read go with scribe. At least that's what i use my tablet and kindle for. So it really depends on what you plan to use it for.

Move - Scribe - Pro

You only posted an image and left the “post” out of your post. So here are my thoughts about your photo in no particular order. One of the reasons that I use a remarkable for long periods of time instead of an ipad is because I don’t want a bright light shining in these old eyes for an extended peri

Kindle Scribe Colorsoft Hands-On: Notetakers Are Going to Love This

Great. But will I finally be able to read ALL book formats from their own GD store now? I just love having their latest model and being told some book isn’t compatible. Will the interface be improved over the embarrassment that is the Scribe’s interface (my Kindle app on iPad is sadly superior to th

New Kindle ScribeColorsoft 2025

I fear that it will be still too much of a kindle with just some note taking attached. I tried the last two iterations of the Scribe and found the software so lacking, that I couldn’t keep them. Even though from the hardware point of view they were great.

Kobo Libra Colour vs Kindle Colorsoft – Which would you keep?

Ive used both (not the colorsoft but the paperwhite and the scribe) and I'd go with the kobo. For me, the closed ecosystem cancels out most of the positives of the kindle. I hate wearing golden handcuffs.
