Did anyone buy the new kindle scribe? I’d love to hear thoughts on what you like better on each

I actually did and received mine yesterday, and the Scribe is going back to Amazon today. Background: I owned a RM2 for a few years, fell in love with the device and bought the RMPP on day 1. I've been less enamored with RMPP as there are a lot more little things that annoy me about it, but still us

New Kindle ScribeColorsoft 2025

I fear that it will be still too much of a kindle with just some note taking attached. I tried the last two iterations of the Scribe and found the software so lacking, that I couldn’t keep them. Even though from the hardware point of view they were great.

Could Apple's OLED iPad Mini Finally Be a Kindle Killer?

Amazon is not my favorite company, but I have to admit that their Kindle brand is something they absolutely nailed. Why does almost no one else make an eink reader with a flush glass screen? The new color soft Scribe also looks fantastic. It’s the build quality of their hardware that does keep me on

Me, watching all the beautiful e-readers here and wanting to buy more, when I already have one

I'm so obsessed with the Kindle Scribe in Fig, but unfortunately all I can afford this year is the Basic in Matcha. Which is adorable in itself, but the Fig color in the other one does things to my brain. Unfortunately a 630 dollar device is not in the books for me 😭

Why are ereader not getting better?

Thinner chassis doesn't make as much sense in e-readers as customers need to be able to hold the device. That's actually why Kindle Scribe, Kindle Oasis, Kobo Libra etc all have one protruding side where they also tuck in the battery. Though the upcoming Scribes have smaller bezels, it's just not as

One day in with Air 5C and NOT having a good time

Your frustration should be directed at the Kindle Scribe team! Also you have yourself in part to blame as should have researched more before the Boox purchase. Sorry to be harsh.

Warning about BOOX warranty/support experience

all glass e-ink is susceptible to this kind of damage because they all use the same screens. the only reason Boox gets shit about it is because they are popular worldwide and there are many units deployed. reMarkable gets exactly the same posts on their sub. Best e-reader under $100? Including used options

Woot.com has great refurbished units occasionally. Look for the 32gb versions of the PW, it is the signature edition but labeled as a regular unit. I got one recently for $69. If you dont care about ads and can do with less storage, the 8gb goes for $40-50. Scratch &dent units are actually in quite

Does anyone else rename every EPUB before putting it in kindle?

(I send the files to both Kindle and iBooks, and save a backup copy. I have noticed that the iOS Kindle app is the flakiest about displaying the covers, while the Books app and Kindle hardware (Colorsoft, Scribe) almost always get it right.) I rename all the files to just the book title and delete t

Onyx Boox Go 10.3 Lumi 2: too fragile? Looking for a device that lasts 7–8 years

I don't (yet) have the lumi, but I've had many boox tablets and readers along with other companies. I'd be shocked if an eink that's android based worked 7 years down the road, and even more shocked if it was boox. If you can make your peace with no frontlight, supernote manta is your device hands d
