Questions about the Kindle download controversy…

I was a prime member, had been for over 8 years. I have over 700 books in kindle and over 1200 audiobooks in audible. I used to have a voyage for over 5 years until I accidentally cracked the screen and upgraded to kindle paperwhite signature three years ago. At first, I also believed books in kindl...

Please remember to support the developer!

This 👆🏼 I'm not related to the developer neither and honesty haven't used much the software, even as I known about it for several years, as I WAS in 'good' relations with Kindle/Amazon pratices. But undoubtedly this software has become a lifeline for many over the past weeks... I have two Kindles ...

What's the WORST e-reader you've ever owned?

Kobo vs. Tolino

From someone from Germany: choose Kobo. I now used the Kindle Paperwhite signature edition, the Kobo Libra colour, and the equivalent of Tolino. Kobo all the way. The OS is just a dream, especially when coming from Amazon, and you really have all the customisation possibilities. It's also very easy ...

My Second Try With Color e-ink

Wow, I didn’t see any issue with my KLC’s color screen even when comparing it to my Kindle Paperwhite. I much prefer the KLC’s ergonomics to a Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition and from what I’ve seen from the Clara it’s close to the same. I’m shocked so many people are complaining about how “grai...

Should publishers be held responsible for keeping eBooks a reasonable file size?

I've had no issues with the first 4 (or 4.5) books. Even large books up to 200 MB are fine. But many eReaders on the market only have 512 MB of RAM. My Boox device with 3GB RAM is fine, but I have two Kindles that have issues with it, a Paperwhite 4 from 2018, and a Paperwhite Signature from 2021. A...

Clara BW question

I have the Clara 2e and it's far more crisp than my Paperwhite 11th Gen This is both side by side with the brightness set to 0 on each. The Clara 2e is 6 inch and the Paperwhite 11 Gen is 6.8 inches and significantly heavier. The Kindle actually has caused me to get arthritis flare ups where the Cla...

Which e-reader should I buy in 2025?

If I was going to buy one for the first time now I'd get a Boox Go 7. I love that you can get a stylus, has buttons, wet proof, sd card slot, auto rotate, dark mode, speakers, and has apps like a tablet so you can have reading apps, libby, etc... i don't like being stuck in Amazon eco system, and I ...
