It's a few things: I really, really like page turn buttons. I understand having a touchscreen on these devices, but when the vast majority of your time is going forwards or backwards, in a book, why wouldn't you have buttons for that? So I have an immediate bend against devices that don't have them.

I was a prime member, had been for over 8 years. I have over 700 books in kindle and over 1200 audiobooks in audible. I used to have a voyage for over 5 years until I accidentally cracked the screen and upgraded to kindle paperwhite signature three years ago. At first, I also believed books in kindl

The fact that you're making this post at all shows you're unsatisfied with it. So just return it. It's prime day now so all kindles are on super sale. Buy yourself a paperwhite signature edition 12th gen instead or whatever you want.

I upgraded last year to the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (12th generation), and I'm loving it so far. I previously had the Kindle Oasis (9th generation) that I used heavily from 2017-2025. While I miss the Oasis's buttons and slimmer form factor, the Paperwhite has three things that I'm findi

Where do you plan to buy your ebooks from? Do you already own ebooks, and if so, where are they from? This is an important questions because if you're getting your ebooks from Kobo then a Kobo is best (although it can use ebooks from places like Google Play as well although it is harder to use Kindl

Kobo, kindle, boox, viwoods, and I’m sure others are the brands that I know. Also xteink for tiny ereaders. Kobo and kindle are the most popular. Between these, you can’t really go wrong. It depends where you get your books from. If you want to use an android based ereader, then boox and viwood are

Why do you want to do this the hard way? If you get a kobo you don't need to jailbreak to install koreader, while kindle is making it harder especially with the newest generation, which is what you want by the way, 7" 32 gb is an 11th or 12th gen paperwhite signature.

This is by far my biggest gripe about my Paperwhite. I’m permanently in airplane mode and side load over USB from Calibre. Everything lands in the Uncollected folder. I have to fat finger the lousy soft keyboard to create collections folders and move books from the Uncollected folder to those folder
