They are completely different tablets. There's a whole lot more different than you might be thinking. The RAM amounts are the same, but only if you get the specific 4 GB model of the HD 8 (and that's the 64 GB storage one but I'm not 100% on that). The Max 11 is higher spec in just about every way.
