The iPad's software problem is permanent
In my opinion, Apple should make iPadOS a more compelling operating system for desktop like functionality, but it should not try to be macOS. The changes to multitasking in iPadOS 26 have been great if you use the iPad with an external keyboard and mouse. They are a good step forward in giving the i

iPad a16 for $179 at Walmart good deal?
That’s smart marketing. Placing the price of iPad 9 next to iPad (A16) to make you feel it’s a good deal.

iPad a16 for $179 at Walmart good deal?
This should be the top post. This is insanely misleading advertisement and not an A16 but an iPad that’s two generations back from it.

What Multitasking should look like on iPadOS 26.1
I agree. Split view and slide over are what makes iPad, an iPad. Even though my iPad A16 is my first Apple product from the ecosystem, it's a real downer removing such full screen features. I hope those features make a comeback.

This feature isn’t talked about enough!
I actually chose to specifically get an m4 air + a16 iPad to use this feature. It's called Sidecar. I could've bought the m4 mbp, but the air + ipad were a better choice for me in the end. Similar performance to the mbp, but with 2 screens (and the iPad can be used for note taking)

I have an iPad a16 but I kind of regret not having many features, should I change to an m4 air?
You seem like an iPad power-user. I'm not sure how you ended up deciding on the A16. I think I'd get an Air and a pencil, then a thrid-party keyboard folio case; Logitech makes some pretty good ones.

Upgrading from iPad air M1 to Ipad A16
I wouldn't call going from iPad Air M1 to iPad A16 an "upgrade" (less RAM, less processing power, no laminated display, etc) But if it works for you, it works.

Someone made the MacBook and iPad have a baby
I work for a very large F500 manufacturer. We had been putting $1800 per unit Touch Windows devices into some of our plants for our line managers to use as their "mobile computer". They were just not durable enough to withstand the harsh conditions of the plants. Endless breakage. We're about to sta

What model iPad do you have ?
I went from the iPad Pro 10.5 to just the standard IPad A16 model. The Pro was completely overkill for me. I am very happy with this model.

The iPad Experience Is Being Ruined by a Loud Minority
I got iPad A16 last month and I’m loving it so far. Yes, the slide over is really nice for all the things you mentioned and then some. I’m guessing if enough people complain about slide over being removed, they might put it back or create a toggle atleast. I’m planning on not updating to iPadOS 26 w
