That’s smart marketing. Placing the price of iPad 9 next to iPad (A16) to make you feel it’s a good deal.

This should be the top post. This is insanely misleading advertisement and not an A16 but an iPad that’s two generations back from it.

Love this. Will do the job and has decent base storage at affordable price compared to other iPads. Hopefully one day the A chips will get stage manager because it’s very helpful for studying but I’ll tell you right now it isn’t worth paying extra hundreds. I agree. Split view and slide over are what makes iPad, an iPad. Even though my iPad A16 is my first Apple product from the ecosystem, it's a real downer removing such full screen features. I hope those features make a comeback.

I actually chose to specifically get an m4 air + a16 iPad to use this feature. It's called Sidecar. I could've bought the m4 mbp, but the air + ipad were a better choice for me in the end. Similar performance to the mbp, but with 2 screens (and the iPad can be used for note taking)

This is not meant to sound backhanded, but I think the new iPad A16 is actually perfect for high school students. It's an upgrade from the iPad 10th gen in terms of capability and storage. I think young students would benefit from that model for sure.

If you care about the warranty and new battery then the iPad A16, otherwise the iPad Air is a good deal with those risks

You seem like an iPad power-user. I'm not sure how you ended up deciding on the A16. I think I'd get an Air and a pencil, then a thrid-party keyboard folio case; Logitech makes some pretty good ones.

I wouldn't call going from iPad Air M1 to iPad A16 an "upgrade" (less RAM, less processing power, no laminated display, etc) But if it works for you, it works.
