Deliberately Burning In My QD-OLED Monitor - 15 Month Update
Nope. Here is the AW3423DW I used for gaming but also working from home with static content, after about 2.5 years of full time use.I got it replaced under warranty and sold the new one. I use a mini LED now as a compromise.I loved this monitor, and this took some time but burn in can happen and I w...
the new alienware 34” ultrawide 240hz
Some of the improvements are nice such as higher refresh rate, updated ports and Dolby Vision support. But as a owner of the previous AW3423DW, it does feel a little underwhelming. A higher resolution and brighter HDR would of been nice.
AW3425DW burn in at 5 months of use how fucked am I?
I'm at almost 3.5yrs with my AW3423DW, well north of 10K hours of use. Haven't checked on a Grey background in a while, but no visible burn-in in use.
For those on the fence to buy the LG45 5k2K with lower GPU than 4090/5090 or WOLED fear as QD OLED owner
TL;DR – LG 45GR95QE Experience with RTX 4080 GPU Performance:Works great even with a 4080 (non-Super). You’ll need DLSS Performance in most games, but at this resolution, DLSS-P looks cleaner than DLSS-Q on lower-res monitors like the AW3423DW. Game Benchmarks (DLSS-P + Frame Gen): Cyberpunk 2077: ~...
G75f is a winner
I’ve shared my feedback on other posts but will reiterate here given there aren’t many reviews or real world experience users out there to share. For context, I’ve spent the last couple of years on OLED, first the Alienware 3423dw, then the MSI mpg321urx and a Samsung G80sd. I’ve also tried (and ret...
Has anyone gone from the AW3423DWF (Or other 34" QD OLEDS) to 45" 5K2K LG
I just went from an AW3423DW to the LG UltraGear 5K2K. No regrets. I haven't watched a lot of HDR content but I love the new display. And I don't miss the sleep issues I'd have with the Alienware.
Has OLED Burn In Issues Been Solved? Looking to upgrade my ASUS ROG Swift PG348Q.
Burn-in hasn't been solved, but it has been mitigated and is way less prevalent today than 10 years ago. Though, burn-in is a function of OLED because the pixels wear out when they are used and there is no world in which they don't wear out. Because of that, it's not a matter of "if", but a matter o...
What are the best ultrawide monitors in 2025
Been happy with AW3423DW. Tried both LG 5k2k and G9 G93SD(no tizen tv version) recently. Opinion is subjective, and my experience may be affected by the fact that I’m wearing glasses. LG 45 is something different for gaming. Crisp, immersive, wraps around you and make whole world feels spinning arou...
Anyone here use a oled monitor? How is burn in?
I have an Alienware QD-OLED, the AW3423DW. I only use it in HDR mode when I'm on Windows though. I experimented with HDR on Linux when support for it arrived in hyprland, KDE Plasma, and GNOME. It's easy enough to set up in any of those. Plasma has a whole calibration app now though which is pretty ...
Best Gaming Monitor Right Now?
I had an AW3423DW a few years ago, but office apps unfortunately caused helluva burn-in after 1.5 years of mixed use, even with frequent pixel/panel refreshes. Amazing monitor for gaming. I got it replaced for free with Dell's burn-in warranty, but gave the new one to my wife to game on, opting for ...
