Articles QD-OLED Generations Infographic and FAQ [Updated for 2026]
I'm still rocking and love my 1st gen AliExpress aw3423dw but the hdr improvement are laughable. Gen 6 that is supposedly coming this year has just 300 more peak brightness and 100 more at true black settings? I want to experience 240hz since it's more accessible with Nvidia mfg but everything else

ASUS ROG SWIFT PG34WCDN is currently in stock at Newegg in the US
Preordered it on Newegg on 4/7, they charged my card on 4/15, and it arrived 4/16. Shipping was $0 and it arrived in 26 hours. I'm coming from a AW3423DW so same size and resolution - looks like a big upgrade so far, brighter, more vibrant colors, clearer text.

How are people dealing with OLED VRR Flicker?
I left oled because of this. The DELL AW3423DW had like no flicker. Rtings speculated that it was because it had a GSYNC ultimate module. Sadly, I sold that monitor because of the ultra wide format and back then many games I played didn't support ultra wide so I was kinda tired of tinkering around w

Can some explain the different kinds of frame sync?
You're incorrect about no sync and the different VRR methods. Other people have already covered no sync, so I'll focus on VRR. You're correct that gsync, FreeSync, and adaptive sync are all implementations of VRR. In fact, when you're generalising this hard they don't even deserve their own category

Mini-LED vs OLED for 8-12h/day mixed use (gaming + design)?
It is the UW, there are several non-uw like the 32r84. There are also some "global" release models ending in 83q. I'm not 100% on some of them as TCL in monitors is newer for me. But I saw them all at CES this year and they were damn good. I'm also sitting here with the Alienware AW3423DW which, des

Does 'G-Sync Ultimate' matter for anything anymore?
When I went from the Alienware AW3423DW with the G-Sync Ultimate module to the AW3425DW without a module I went from “Why does everyone talk about VRR flicker? I’ve never seen it.” to “Ah, so this is VRR flicker.”

AMA: MSI’s New 34" and 32" QD-OLED Monitors — Ask Us Anything (Worldwide Giveaway Inside!)
I know this isn't a question directly related to the monitors in this post, but what are the odds do you think we'll see a 39" or 45" QD-OLED panel to compete with the WOLED equivalents? And secondly, I've had some trouble with burn-in on my current (AW3423DW) QD-OLED panel, but thwt was a 1st gen p

For those who have purchased an OLED monitor, do you regret it or would you recommend it?
Kinda mixed feelings honestly. I bought the 1st gen QD-OLED AW3423DW, and I think the picture quality is really good and I've been completely spoiled by the viewing angles. That said, I had to have mine replaced twice due to burn-in over its 3-year lifespan, and my 3rd and current unit (which is now
