Yea, Asus anti flicker is basically turning off vrr below a specific refresh rate, so it doesn't go into flicker range. You can do the same on most screens with CRU. Upgraded from 3070 to 5070 don’t think the performance is worth it. 5 years of technological advancement and 2 generations ahead for an extra 32fps.
I play on an AW3423DW. Went from a 3080/3800x > 5080/9800x3D in the last month. It runs way better like 2x on some games like COD, LoL, OW, and some other games.
