Studio monitor recommendations for beginner studio

Forget about bluetooth for decent studio monitors. Bluetooth is for party speakers. I highly recommend Adam Audios, I have the T7V's for years and I will never change. I was slow to add in the T10S sub as it is so much more money again, but I do not regret it. You will realise the difference it make

I need help with building a computer setup.

I second Adam Audio. I don't have personal experience with the D3V's but I do use their T7V's as my primary speakers for freelance video production and hobbyist music-making and have been extremely happy. I hear nothing but good things about the D3V for their size and price point.

Brian May amplitube

If you’re only playing at home I would invest in home studio gear: pc/laptop > audio interface > active (nearfield) monitors > DAW > vst plugins > headphone > etc. Audio interface: I have the Motu M2, but there are also good cheaper ones. Studio monitors: I have the Adam T7V and love them for years.

Krk gen 5 7 inch vs JBL 306p mk2

The KRK Gen 5 are great for DJing because they are pretty much un-killable. The built in DSP and limiters do their job well. Unless you are smashing them with square wave distortion, they will just soldier on. Unfortunately, they aren't the most amazing monitors for production, but if you're just st

Plastic Power Switch Button popped out of place with two metal pieces, more info in comments.

I just woke up and could no longer operate the Switch, in fact it came out just as I tried to turn my studio monitor on. Yesterday night I turned it off no problem, in fact the other one has the kinda buggy/leaning to the side button that should come have come out. Nothing else was in there beside t

The money drain

Adam Audio is good - not sure which model would be the upgrade from 5's, maybe https://www.adam-audio.com/en/t-series/t7v/ (I had t5v in the past). It's German engineering but made elsewhere ofc

Home office stereo setup for music listening (£1k)

No to the microscopic kef speakers they're overpriced and have horrible low end, very early rolloff at 100hz. Kali audio mm6, or lp6 or lp8, or IN-8. Or jbl 308p / 306p, or Adam audio t7v. All so much better than the anemic kef. That is, if you care about bass and overall dynamics/ output capability
