Finally bought proper N64 controllers after years of using anything but. Much more comfortable.

The first one is an 8bitdo 64 and the other with the smooth analogue nub is the retro fighter brawler 64. The 8bitdo feels like the better controller overall in terms of overall build quality, compatibility and comfort but I really like the retro fighter aswell, the dpad feels more accurate and the

It’s been said before but use wired original controllers if you can

I modded the dpad on the 8Bitdo controller. It made Dr Mario playable again. https://longplaytech.com/posts/8bitdo-64-controller-diagonal-fix/ The stick isn’t as nice as an OG stick, but it’s pretty good. I can do all the Mario 64 stuff with it fine. It does take some time to adjust to it.

Completely overwhelmed - where do I start? (Ocarina of time)

If you're really interested in retro gaming, then your best/easiest/cheapest option is to keep emulating it on your computer.... but get a proper controller. 8bitdo makes a 64 controller that's very good. Not perfect, but very good. There are other options, but so far I like this one the best of the

Any tips how can I be better at aiming?

There isn't an alternative that is as precise as a mint condition original. The games are programmed for it and one cannot adjust sensitivity in-game. The Switch Online N64 controller with a Blueretro adapter is a decent alternative but Goldeneye isn't great with that one either. The 8bitdo 64 2.4 G

8BitDo Joystick v2 for N64 Controller Here

I'm going to try and make a post about comparing v1 hall effect, v2 TMR, NSO controller, OEM and possibly include the 8BitDo modern 64 controller. It might take me a little time, because I have kids and work. First impressions of TMR are very good though. I can say that the range and stick curve are

What controllers feel like a switch pro controller?

I can confirm that the 8bitdo Ultimate controllers are very similar to the Switch Pro controller. They're almost the exact same size and shape. I have the Ultimate 2.4G, not the Ultimate 2, so I can't speak to how good the gyro control on the Ultimate 2 is, and I don't know if there are any differen

For those with the Analogue 3d, what’s been your experience with controllers?

The 8bitdo ones that were released for the analogue feels great in the hands, the buttons feel great, and would be perfect for playing games with a few friends like Mario party or Mario Kart, but any game that requires precision on the analogue stick like Goldeneye or Ocarina of time using the sling

Analogue 3D would not let go and broke my Hyperkin controller

I'm a big fan of the 8BitDo 64 controller, but I do have a Hori Pad Mini that has a noticeably more accurate analog stick, so it's not perfect. At least not yet. 🤷‍♂️

Is the N64 controller worth it if you don't have much nostalgia for it and mainly want to use it for Zelda?

I got two of the conversion kits 8bitdo offers for 64 controllers. Used one on a yellow and one on a clear purple. Super easy to mod and the joystick is a massive upgrade.

For those with the Analogue 3d, what’s been your experience with controllers?

The 8bitdo controllers are great..... with one caveat in my opinion. On the 8bitdo 64 controller, your left index finger will be on the Z-L button almost all the time and your right index finger will be on the R button almost all the time. Meaning your left index finger has to sit a bit further back
