More about my x3 front light case!!
Whatever you do never release the files for free or for sale. You'll never see the end of people trying to profit off your hard work. The licensing on that retro model could bite you if you built it off that work. Inspired is a different story. You made something really cool and it solves the main c

Questions about Xteink?
Thanks for opening this thread. I realise that Xteink plans to bring the s4 to the market, but quite a number (myself included) just want the current device with a front light. My preference is for the x3 with a front light. Would the organisation consider this?

One does not replace the other; they complement each other.
Got a X3 and I feel like I’m reading way more on it than my kobo Libra. I made the font bigger so I’ll need to do more page turns but it just feels like i’m reading so much faster on the little device like I’m gamifying it. The only reason i still have the libra is for the front light for evening re

Are really phone sized ereaders worth it? Can people use it daily and finish books in a regular basis?
i have read so many books on my smaller ereaders (former palma owner, own both the Xteink X4 and X3, as well as an Obook5). so long as you're okay with reading on the smaller screen, it's great to have something that's always in your pocket / bag / purse / on you in some way. Especially with the X4

Questions about Xteink?
I’m going to chime in with a sentiment I’ve seen in the comments already, just to add another voice requesting it: better build quality and a frontlight. I’ve been very lucky to receive two working devices (out of two), an x3 and x4, but I am concerned on button longevity. They feel noticeably ‘loos

Boox teases boox picco, a 3.97inch ereader.
Mostly it won't. They are competing against xteink, and they realized the reason people are buying xteink is that it's a simple dumb mini ereader with no touch screen. Perfect for doom reading which someone can use anytime anywhere. The only thing missing from an xteink is the backlight and they'll

X4 as a first ereader - yes or no?
The X4 or X3 is perfect for a "barebones ereader." I got both the X3 and 4, but I prefer the X3 because of it's smaller form factor and a bit higher PPI (better resolution/font rendering). The only downside, for me at least, is the lack of frontlight, so I can't read at night unless I have a bed sid

X3 Benefit I was not aware of
If XTEINK built an X4 size with an X3 chip and backlighting and kept to the physical buttons, that would be a beast of a device lol

Using one ereader ONLY - Is anyone doing this? How's it going?
Rocking an XTEINK X3 as my solo reader, always have it on me. Has been great for half a dozen books so far. I’ve owned everything from Scribes to Palmas to Paperwhites. Charge lasts through many books at a time. Only downside is using a light at night in bed and sourcing books taking slightly more e
