Advice for replacing Focal Chora 806!

All those brands and their entry level products are going to be bright sounding products. Not warm like you want. And yes, to get to better sounding products, you usually need to go up to the next series up (from entry level). Take a look at e.g. Wharfedale Linton Heritage (EAC review), Wharfedale S

Speaker Upgrade from Wharfedale Denton 80th

Hi there! I also like the Denton 80th, even if they don't have the most neutral sound and some other shortcomings. One of those is that they have some noticeable directivity errors from about 600Hz upwards (mids, upper mids) all the way into the highest treble regions (20kHz). See frequency response

George Michael - Older

Glad you’re enjoying it! And that you love it! I did my homework and already have the step down converter and even a capacitor kit to freshen her up again. I splurged on a Hana ML moving coil for the living room system (Technics SL-1700) so the V15 III SAS will go on the Denon system in my bedroom.

Wharfedale Super Dentons vs JBL L82 Classic MKii

Second getting the Super Lintons. Or even the standard Lintons. I’ve had the Dentons and Lintons, Lintons were much better. You’ll get a much better finished product with Wharfedale for your money.

Full size speakers for classical music

Dali Oberon 5 have reviewed well. Second hand prices are good as floor standing speakers are expensive to ship and harder to sell than stand mount speakers. With $2k you car not in the £1800 region for Wharfedale Super Dentons. I'd consider Dali Oberon 1C or 7c with hub if you can get similar to the

Speaker suggestions for low-wattage receiver

The Wharfedale Denton 80's sensitivity is 86dB. It takes twice as much power (watts) to increase the output by 3dB. So the the Wharfedale takes 2 watts to output 89, 4w for 92, and 8 watts to output 95dB. Compare that to the sensitivity ratings of the Klipschs. Yes, it makes a big difference.

Advice for first setup

The Erres 1312 is a rebadged Philips 312 AFAIK worth anywhere from €60~€130 depending on condition. The Denon UDRA-70 is nothing to write home about. It's a small class D amp from a shelf midi/mini system. It looks nice enough; impressive even, but Class D in this form factor is more about saving sp
