Update KB5063878, show of hands?

My friend just had a <1 year old WD Blue SN580 2TB (Nvme, DRAM-less) completely killed after the latest update and after AFAIK a large zip file copy containing lots of video files for video editing projects... I dealt with this 2 days ago but I assume the failure happened in the past week or so. It

Getting a Mac Mini soon. Looking for best upgrade options for HD space (external). Will mostly be doing regular computer stuff and gaming via crossover.

It depends on thunderbolt ports, tb5 is 3 times faster (advertised) than tb4. base M4 comes with tb4, M4 pro with tb5. I have base M4, and got 1tb WD SN580 + passive ssd enclosure, and even though it was on a budget, it ended up being slightly faster than internal ssd. No noticeable differences in g

WD Gre

Planned to build my own Steam Machine

Also, just would like to point out that the Samsung drive would have been overkill for starters just because a Gen5 x2 drive would perform just like a Gen4 x4 drive not to mention for a gaming device it would be pretty much overkill just because modern games on average would only read/write at rough

ASUS TUF Gaming A16 (2024), choosing a 2nd SSD disk

Cool! I ended up on the Western Digital WD Blue SN580 1 TB. I chose this because of the supposedly good quality for price locally and it has the better type of NAND memory - TLC. Haven't received it yet but hopefully soon I get to test it out in my PC! (So haven't tried - can't recommend by experien

an new ssd

Hi there! I’m with Dell’s Social Support Team. Thanks for reaching out! The good news is that your Latitude 7480 supports M.2 SSD upgrades, so moving from a 256GB SSD to a 512GB/ 1TB SSD is a great way to give the system some extra life and breathing room. Since you're down to only 7GB of free space

[Build Help] 2026 Unraid Server Build: Intel Core Ultra 5 + SAS Storage

The Ultra 5 is fine, but it’s not a value play. A Ryzen 5600 + B550 board would be cheaper, cooler, and more NAS‑appropriate.... the ASRock B860 is fine for gaming but for a NAS you may see some m.2 thermal issues if you don't add a heatsink to your nvmes. RAM, cheap is well cheap stick to Crucial o
