Like the scene from the titanic with the musicians playing chamber music as the ship is sinking. Also check out this absolute bargain from Sony. https://direct.playstation.com/en-us/buy-accessories/4tb-wd-black-internal-sn850p-nvme-ssd-game-drive

2TB is not 900 dollars. It's actually $909 if you buy it from PlayStation® 🤡 https://direct.playstation.com/en-us/buy-accessories/2tb-wd-black-internal-sn850p-nvme-ssd-game-drive

It's so depressing. Pricing is just absurd right now. Have you seen what Sony wants for a 4TB nvme? https://direct.playstation.com/en-us/buy-accessories/4tb-wd-black-internal-sn850p-nvme-ssd-game-drive

I went with the WD SN850X because it offers faster read/write speeds than the original SN850. Also, you may find an "SN850P" version too, which is identical in performance (it's just a PlayStation rebrand). Finally, I strongly suggest you grab the version with the heatsink as I did for the best temp

PS5 has an internal slot for a SSD. You can buy one, insert it and move games to it and play directly from the SSD. Check YT for some videos of the fairly easy procedure. You need something like the WD Black SN850P with Heatsink. PS5 has special requirements for the speed of the SSD, so check if the

Yes you can use it in a PC. The SN850P is just a PCIe Gen 4 NVMe drive with a fancy PS5 label. As long as your motherboard has an M.2 slot that supports Gen 4 or Gen 3, it’ll work fine. Just pop it in and format it during setup.

I dont think this is a great deal tbh. i’ve seen 4tb SN850X (identical as SN850P but not PS5 branded) go for $230-250 and the 2tb versions for $130-140. waiting for it to hit those prices again

The SN850P is just a SN850X but with the additional heatsink for use with the PS5. The SN850X is in the process of being phased out. Its replacement is the PCIe Gen5 WD_BLACK SN8100. On Amazon, the PCIe Gen4 4TB SN850X is $560 while the 4TB SN8100 is $875. I paid $280 for a 4TB SN850X back in Novemb
