It's actually a drip stopper. I use it when I'm really on the go and can't wash the picopresso immediately - like on a plane ride. When the outer ridge on mine ripped, I contacted picopresso. They sent me a replacement and only charged shipping.

Yes. I spent several days doing research and reading about various options, user reviews etc. Finally decided on the Picopresso. It's really well made and a joy to use. Puck prep is important. When done right, the result is a very good (and actually real) espresso.

My Picopresso is about 2.5 years old and I use it at least once a day as it is the only espresso maker I own (I bought it in Nov 2022). The one thing I absolutely had to do (about a year ago) is apply the hack that is mentioned somewhere in this reddit - basically you add an O-ring and some lubrican

My Picopresso piston popped out after ~10 shots. I got a new unit as replacement, but still. My Robot will probably outlast me, so there’s that.

Giving a shout out to CERA+ CGE03 (3rd Gen). A solid portable electric grinder to pair with a solid portable picopresso. Highly recommended for those who are sick of hand grinding beans.

Yup! The Picopresso is pretty stable when it’s on the stand.

I bought a used Picopresso for 70 bucks, and invested another 10 on new O-Rings to fix the leaking issue. The machine is a beast with a pretty high ceiling, but to even start using it you need at least a semi decent grinder. And I don't know what you could get for 80 bucks that could produce usable
