Koksmes Wüsthof of Zwilling?

Need a "Heavier" Knife for Everyday Use

Wait which Fibrox weighs that much? The 25 cm should weigh 200 grams give or take... That said, I would recommend the Wüsthof Classic Ikon, but I'm not sure it's within budget where you live. The 20cm is 267 grams (8", 9.4oz) and the 23cm is 288 grams (9", 10.1oz).

10” w/ Contour Handle Recs?

Okay! If German style, I would recommend a Wüsthof Classic Ikon over the regular Classic. I find the handle much more comfortable. Not sure if you can find a 10 incher within budget though. If you're feeling adventurous you can try Japanese. They're thinner but also more delicate. Bernal Cutlery som

Gift for my father's birthday

For Japanese, check out this one: https://www.meesterslijpers.nl/en/kazoku-takahiro-gyuto-21-cm-1 I think it's very reasonably priced, and is made by a tough type of steel. It's also very pretty. If you don't mind a smaller one, this Takamura is hard to beat: https://www.meesterslijpers.nl/en/takamu

Beginner knives for non chefs! Not worried about extreme sharpness just want to buy something and use it forever

Here's the counter to your spin "Wusthof knives are highly recommended for beginners because they are durable, safe, and versatile workhorses. However, they are quite expensive." Is the MAC chef knives good for culinary student that is going to michelin restaurant, 21.5cm and 13.5cm both for under 110$ or is there better for the price budget

I have the Tojiro Santoku and WÜSTHOF classic ikon. I am careful with the Tojiro because it is a thinner blade. I reach for the wusthof when breaking down chickens for example. They are more robust. MAC could be similar to Tojiro because those are Japanese? Not sure. Maybe get one of each. A workhor

Anders
