Ask Me Anything About My E-Ink Tablet Collection

For what you've described, the rMPP would work okay, but like you say battery isn't great - I think I only got around six hours before it needed a recharge. I liked the Viwoods AI Paper Mini for more portable note-taking, and the Supernote Nomad is also decent, however these are around 8", so not re

What a jungle! Help!

if you want colour, the note air 5c is pretty nice. Be aware though, the colours are very rudimentry and it looks more like old grey recycled paper than white paper. A lot of people say you need the front light on all the time, I actually use it without all the time in my (home) office environment.

If you tried both and/or just chose one of these for any reason at all — Viwoods AiPaper Mini or Supernote Nomad?

I chose viwoods ai paper mini for the portability and slightly larger 8.2 inch display. I also liked that I have upto 100 days to trial before I can return if it doesn’t meet my needs. The < $400 for the package with pen and folio was also encouraging. I’ve had my eye on Supernote nomad since 2023 a

Nomad or Pure?

Some people love the Nomad size devices. I have the Viwoods AiPaper and the AiPaper Mini. So basically the same exact size as the Manta and the Nomad (I did have the Manta). I always grab the full size paper and never the Mini. But I am also used to carrying around a 13” iPad Pro full time. So, the

Was about to buy a remarkable 2....

My use case was close to yours. As in handwriting notes and having a million yellow stickies and lost scraps of paper. I love my Viwoods ai paper. It’s fantastic and so lovely to write on! And you can create folders to keep notes in and you can search your notes later It was a bit life changing for

The Importance of Software & Why I Returned the Boox Note Air 4C (Full Review)

[...] This one feature makes it so that you can display whatever list or info or calendar or cheer-me-up pic or motto permanently on the screen while not using up any battery. (Not that it would matter much with the Mini, as the battery performance is astonishing anyway!) For me, this is what makes

Help me decide on my first eink device

For your use case, I wouldn’t even look at the remarkable. Viwoods maintains the distraction free model, paper like feel, without sacrificing basic utility functions, gives you calendar sync to google and outlook calendars, and has a well developed knowledge management interface (it pulls you highli

Product Advice

The Go 7 is probably the choice for price and portability. There is no Go 8 and from what I’ve been reading there is not one on the horizon. There is a discontinued Tab Mini C (7.8 inch screen) if you can find one. (Mine is not for sale!) However, the ViWoods AI Paper Mini is 8.2 inches and seems to

Looking for advice

If writing feel is the main reason the iPad never worked for you, then the device you’ll probably be happiest with is the reMarkable. Nothing I’ve tried matches the paper-like writing feel on it. ViWoods is second place and also feels very “paper,” but reMarkable is still the closest to old-school p

Viwoods AI Paper Mini or Boox Go 10.3

A little late to this post - so hopefully this information is still helpful. I actually own both of these devices. I use my Boox Go 10.3 primarily at home and my Viwoods AiPaper Mini is my travel/bedtime reading device. I use both devices to write - primarily OneNote. Built in note apps are decent o
