Steam deck stolen by UPS twice. Steam support unhelpful

As much as I love the SD this is such a common problem it’s ridiculous. This could be (mostly) remedied if Valve just didn’t use the most obvious packaging ever.

Valve Says It Has a 'Pretty Good Idea' of What Steam Deck 2 Is Going to Be, Explains Why It's Holding Off for Now

I fully agree with them. The SteamDeck as it is right now is fine. If they release another SteamDeck, the difference between it and the original two should be night and day. There should be absolutely no drawbacks to upgrading and it should be a no-brainer (provided you have the money for it). If yo

What are your thoughts about games getting negative reviews because they're incompatible with steamdeck?

this would be my thought, if the game says Steam Deck verified and it doesn't play well then it deserves that negative review. A game just not working and doesn't claim to is a whole other thing.

How often do you use your Steam Deck at home when you already have a gaming PC?

A lot, but I think the people that get the most use are husbands and dads. For example my wife likes to hang out upstairs and not feel so disconnected so we can talk still. Steam deck is great for this and progressing single player games.

Is it okay to keep it plugged/docked permanently ? (Soft limiting battery charge to 95% / second hand / battery health at 93%)

I’ll add on to this that Steam Deck uses power passthrough that bypasses the battery entirely. This means that you aren’t constantly wearing down the biggest fail point of these devices. If you are someone that charges to 80-100% and then unnecessarily unplugs it, you are essentially reducing the li

ADHD impulse buying: what is one purchase that you DO NOT regret?

The steam deck, I got super fixated on it and bought one very impulsively and I use it almost daily. It’s also made gaming accessible for me again!

Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 are now out on Steam.

I just saw this and picked up all 3. Feel like these would be perfect on the steam deck

Steam to feature how much FPS you’ll likely have on a game before buying

I think this might be mainly for Steam Deck and THE CUBE which is still cool. If this would be for most configurations it might cause confusion since it probably doesn't account for other stuff in the background like Discord/browsers/other stuff.

I am afraid I can't do that, Dave

Unless you put in the steam launch option to pretend your PC is a steam deck. Then a lot of games will cooperate lol.
