Can anyone convince me why I should keep my barely used Steam Deck over just getting the ROG Xbox Ally (X)?

Sell the Deck and get a Windows handheld. XAX is the best one when it comes to comfort. I too went through the same thing and hated Steam OS. Windows is just easier to use for tinkering.

I get it. Loading up desktop mode to move files around after you find out where they are for every game, or trying every proton version for games that have hardware daily limits, adding everything you use via windows to launch through steam, and hope those programs don't need drivers that may not in

You can't trust anyone's opinion nowadays

people claim things work good due to sunk cost falacy. they want other people to believe its good to help them justify their purchase. on this game in particular, I saw the devs say its steam verified and bought it. framerate is fine but it looks horrible, like ps2 draw distances. It's certainly pla

What weird Steam Deck habit did you accidentally develop?

Yep. You can tell that Valve worked very hard on a lot of the stuff with the SD, it shows. The follow-through is the issue. The verification system is nice in concept, but is only as good as it's maintenance, which has already been shown to be lacking. They NEED to make a community rating for verifi

Cozy life sim Paralives is now available on Steam!

Ive been loving it but am playing on PC. My fiance plays with controller with his Steam deck. It works but it can freeze or get laggy. Ive also had phantom items stay placed from build mode. Most of glitches we experienced werent game breaking, just funny moments.

ltsc on microsd for streaming to tv

USB-C video is usually just Displayport signalling, those adapters will convert it to HDMI 2.1, same as a dock. The other question is though, is if the Windows APU drivers will support it. I don't think I've seen anyone getting 4K 120Hz to work on Windows with the Deck. What sort of streaming are yo

Vr games that are likely to work on standalone

Connecting the wheel is not really a problem, the problem is installing the required software and drivers on SteamOS to make the wheel work. But people already did it on the SteamDeck, but I guess it's not as trivial as on Windows.
