How often do you use your Steam Deck at home when you already have a gaming PC?

A lot, but I think the people that get the most use are husbands and dads. For example my wife likes to hang out upstairs and not feel so disconnected so we can talk still. Steam deck is great for this and progressing single player games.

ADHD impulse buying: what is one purchase that you DO NOT regret?

The steam deck, I got super fixated on it and bought one very impulsively and I use it almost daily. It’s also made gaming accessible for me again!

Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 are now out on Steam.

I just saw this and picked up all 3. Feel like these would be perfect on the steam deck

So Disney is using Steam Deck to control animatronics

Steam decks seem to be very multipurpose controllers on top of being game devices, just purely because at their heart they're portable PC's that come with linux. Pretty sure Ukrainians use them to control armored vehicles

I'm newly disabled and cant game anymore on PC

I’m in a similar situation where I can’t sit for too long. There are a couple of solutions you can try to use. As Steam said, Steam Remote Play or better yet, Moonlight Game Streaming. With Moonlight, you can stream your pc to any device and remote control your PC from anywhere in your house. I use

ADHD impulse buying: what is one purchase that you DO NOT regret?

I looooove my steam deck. I have some weird shame/guilt about mainly only using it to play Disney Dreamlight Valley instead of the backlog of games I built up when I got it, but who cares? It’s so convenient.

OS distribution in Steam from March 2024 to March 2026

What I'm going to say may be controversial in this sub, but I don't see the Steam Machine making a big difference here, the Steam Deck, even though not produced for retailers like other devices, had the advantage of being portable, which is arguably more appealing to the masses (and easier to justif

I made my first Retroid purchase!

Rp4 pro is legitmately going to outlast even the 5 and 6. Its plastic so i take it everywhere. I have a steam deck OLED, rog ally, odin 2 pro and countless miyoo stuff and bring my rp4 pro a LOT because i just am OK with it being beat up. Plastic takes more of a beating than glass AND its pocketable

What game "shouldn't" work well on the Deck, but you found a way to love it?

Steam deck is the only way I have time to play WoW now as a new father. I've been playing on my lunch break in a work truck using my phones mobile hotspot. Works surprisingly well actually. Apparently, classic WoW uses very little data and plays fine, even with spotty 4G service.

What convinced you to get your Steam Deck?

Sometimes I don't want to be in my setup and I just want to be in the couch with GF and the dogs. Or just dock it to the TV and play together. Also, It's very useful to play when we travel to visit her parents or my parents. I love my Switch and also works for that but sith SD I have all my PC libra
